The wettest, most slippery hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Showers were small and impractical. Dead birds in the property water feature outside our room.

Yuko at the desk was a wonderful, caring lady. One night I rang the reception couple of times. No one picked the phone up. That’s not good enough for a such an expensive hotel stay. Lucky it wasn’t a medical emergency. 24 hr reception service? Come on! If it was a cheap 3 star hotel yeah I wouldn’t complain. You get what you paying for. Food was horrible. Bacon were like fried & dried them for hours. Like hard sticks. Well you pay big money to get rubbish. Curries were too spicy & salty. Room & the view was beautiful. That’s the only thing.

You are correct, we do run a manned front desk 24/7 and we should be taking calls to assist you right around the clock and I have already addressed with this with the team for immediate review. It is pleasing to read you enjoyed your room and the view from your private balcony, the sunrises over the Inlet are truly lovely to experience.

The hotel was brilliantly located and the cleanliness of the rooms was excellent. The front office staff however need a little reminder on how to smile and to at least make eye contact with guests when speaking to them. The hotel served its purpose but as other reviews have stated, it’s a little tired looking and clearly not up to its former pre-Covid standard which is what people expect with the Hilton name. The house keeping staff were lovely and cheerful but the front office staff really need to have a little look at the basics of customer service. Overall it was a pleasant experience however may look at alternate hotels for future stays in Cairns.

Location of the hotel was great, parking facility was faulty, system added extras to the bill (movies) that were not ours. Wasnt offered a wheelchair accessible room on check in and had to move after night 1 of 3.

Honestly the room was over priced air conditioner didn’t work had to get a fan for the room, bed was crap , spa bath wouldn’t hold water the only good thing was the shower had good water pressure wouldn’t stay at a Hilton again

You will be pleased to know we have just started a renovation of our bedrooms (including new beds and mattresses) and we should have that project completed mid way through the year. I do hope you might consider a return visit to experience this new offering.

Hilton is close to waterfront and cruise terminals. Loved the location and the $25 free welcome voucher. That was all good. Deluxe room was about okay. No lock on bathroom doors. Mini fridge was empty. They forgot one of our room service dinner orders (pizza) and we had to remind them just before the kitchen was closed. Was given a sub standard complimentary pizza as compensation. Lots of extra charges (like $5 charges for keeping a food tray in the room) quickly adds up. Disappointed with so many extra charges, being a star hotel.
