Nice foyer but the rest of the hotel was tired and rundown. Definitely not a 5 star establishment. It took 30 minutes to get hold of someone to assist with broken TV. No one answered phone and I eventually had to go down to reception myself. Only one of the staff members were helpful the rest were very offstandish. Instant coffee in a "5" star hotel ?? No mini bar items and milk was never replaced. Very disappointing.

Grand hotel that is in the middle of refurbishment, friendly staff and nice vibe. Lobby is impressive and very late (1am) checkin was no problem.

Great spot and awesome pool I know it’s being renovated so I hope they are going to fix beds as bed was like sleeping on a brick!

In the middle of a renovation - would have been good if Wotif had mentioned this. Wouldn't have booked if I knew this before hand. Room was poorly renovated - half the light and power points didn't work, fridge didn't work, shower head sprayed water everywhere, room phone didn't work either. Asked for a room change - only offered a lower value room. After we complained, they did compensate us with free breakfast for our stay and free car parking.

Wotif apparently was supposed to tell me there was renovations ie loud drilling on from 10am till 4pm every day but neither wotif or the hotel informed me before the holiday. There was only a return at a reduced rate as compensation which I am sure all people booking it will get. I still have the ringing in my ears! It would have been a lovely hotel otherwise.

Information regarding our renovation works is advertised across all websites we sell on, this include Expedia which you booked through. My apologies if this was clear at the time of booking. Our gym and sauna are currently the only facilities being impacted by renovations, and we have arranged our guests to have access to the same facilities at our sister property Pullman Reef Casino, which is located directly across the road from us.
