This property is very basic and although the price is low for the Cairns area it is still too expensive for the quality of this accomodation. The building is aging and needs a decent clean of mouldy external surfaces.

Staff lovely The room we were in hasn't had any renovations for at least 30 years Should not be used just terrible Probably contracted Scabies from a blanket i wouldn't use as a door mat. No hand towels replacement of towels or rinsing and washing items. Electrical points original and damaged. We won't be back

This hotel sat vacant for one year and recently purchased by someone. They have attempted renovate. I would suggest they finish renovating before booking people. The first night we had pubic hair all over the floors - dirty basin - no blankets - no towels - the staff were very kind and helpful and gave us a new room which they said was renovated with a new bathroom. Arriving back after a great day in Cairns we discovered once again we had no towels - no blankets and a dirty room full of dust from the renovations. Two very helpful staff came up and wiped as much of the dust off our bed heads - brought blankets - new cups and saucers . The floors were covered in renovated dust. This was to be a special birthday for my three daughters and myself and found this time very disappointing. The photos and description of this hotel are not realistic. I feel we should be reimbursed in some capacity. I would not recommend staying here at this time.

This hotel should NOT be open! When we booked, the pictures looked just like lovely hotel rooms, bright & fresh, the reviews not bad - you had the impression through the description that this hotel has just reopened after refurbishment. The room we got for 4 nights was very old, dated, the fridge was malfunctioning , super old and rusty; as was the remainder of the room and bathroom: a hammock of a mattress, yucky smoke-hole stained chairs and the carpet was another league altogether: it smelled so bad that we never closed the balcony door. After going right back to reception to ask for a refurbished alternative I was told there aren’t any available. Yes, staff seem friendly enough but they have no influence of this hotel’ s condition. After trying to find the first reviews again I suddenly found several very negative reviews which exactly described our experience. Every guest we met in the elevator and hallways, quite a few, exchanged the very same views & experiences with us. Some had tried to or succeeded in canceling their stay. After two days into our 4-day stay we had enough and left the ‘hotel’. Save yourself the experience!

The only thing true about the room from the advisement was the view. You couldn’t ask for better. However the rest was so far from the truth in the picture. We even asked for clean fresh blankets because I wouldn’t let my family use what was in the cupboard. My husband slept on a rolled up towel and the 1 pillow that he was allocated as his was so flat. There was one chair on the balcony. No table. Some blue substance splattered over the balcony floor. Rubbish has not been cleaned off the roof that we could see down below us, old baby’s bottle and old cans. The tub had dreaming away issues so when using the shower you were constantly standing in ankle deep water. There was old blue tac on the walls where a motor or poster must have been. The tv table has multiple holes where another device was secured to it once. There was wire cabling hanging from the glass door frame onto the balcony. I understand that the room price was on the cheaper end of what else is in that area but it’s just sheer false advertisement. We would have stayed 20km away to have the same price and a whole better experience.

We understand the property has just changed hands and we hope it improves. the bed was terrible and they didn’t even supply a blankets. We only had a sheet and 1pillow each. No parking was available on site. The curtains were mouldy. The whole room was nothing like the photos and we should have demanded a refund. Dissapointing to drive for 5 hours and not get what you think you’re getting.

This was the worst hotel i have ever stayed in Cairns. Rooms were dirty, mound everywhere. no wish washer/ no washing machine(while booking it mentioned all amenities). Pool was in terrible conditions. Staff was very friendly. Would not recommend to anyone to stay at this place/
