Had a pleasant experience at this motel. Seemed like good value for money for Port Douglas. Under cover parking and really large and reasonably modern room added to the overall experience. The kitchenette was a plus.

A wonderful hotel. More like a studio apartment. Very clean modern everything you could want. Including the ability to get ice. There’s a pool for swimming a patio outside your door to sit and enjoy your morning coffee highly recommend this motel has laundry facilities nice room. I would go back again and wish I could’ve stayed longer.

The person at the reception desk was very nice to help us when we were arriving late, and to provide coupons to area attractions. The room was very clean with great beds. Would recommend to anyone.

Good enough for a short stop over

The room was fine - clean, tidy, comfy bed. One of the owners is quite rude and abrupt, but the other is charming. Overall, a pleasant enough experience for a short stay, if you don’t mind the possibility of being barked at.

We stayed here hoping there may be kids thrre was not. But we downgraded from our previous property. Would not return here. Alex on Reception was lovely and gave us great suggestions. The other man made us feel uncomfortable and like he was waiting for us to leave to clean our room. He left his cleaning trolley in the walkway outside our room. I did not like this at all especially as it was there from about 7-8am. Check out is 10. We were 1 of 2 rooms rented with gueats still in the room. It was $7 for the washing macjine not $4 like everywhere else. Room was very clean and tidy. Pool was squashed in corner outside reception felt like being kept an eye on.

This was a fabulous motel. The owners are so helpful and kind. The room was spotless! Comfortable beds, great pool and a quick drive into town. I highly recommend the Lazy Lizard!
