, either. Nearby you'll find Yorkeys Nob but make sure you only swim at the northern end of the beach, which is patrolled by lifeguards during the six warmer months of the year. At the southern end, keen fishermen can drop a line and try their luck in the estuary.
If you'd rather escape the tourist hot spots and hang out with the locals, Clifton Beach and Kewarra Beach are perfect for you. Both beaches have safe swimming spots, and you can grab some takeaway or fire up one of the BBQs and unwind without the crowds.
For fantastic surf beaches, hit up Ella Bay and Etty Bay, just outside of Innisfail
