Acacia Court Hotel - Cairns North Hotels

Acacia Court Hotel

223-227 Esplanade, Cairns North - Map
"Nice view"
A very comfortable room. My only complaint is that I would prefer to have the balcony door open to enjoy the fresh air, however the hotel requests that the door remain closed with the air-conditioner left on. People who like air-con would probably be happy with this. I prefer to have the choice. I left my phone charger in the room and upon ringing the hotel to ask about it, I didn't receive outstanding service. I was asked to ring back the following day (Monday) when house-keeping would be open. I totally understand that house-keeping is not open on Sunday, but it would have been possible for the staff member to ask my name and make a note of my details. That is what I would have done, having spent 20 or so years in the hospitality industry. You do whatever you can to assist even if it is not your department.

In summer, swimming nets are in place at Cairns’ Northern Beaches so you can enjoy the blue skies and refreshing water without being bothered by stingers. Want something a little more exciting than a swim? Take some kite boarding lessons at Yorkeys Knob. Spend some time in Cairns and spend some time checking out the activities there: the Cairns Esplanade Lagoon, Cairns Tropical Zoo or the Kuranda Scenic Railway, which takes you from Cairns to Kuranda, a rainforest village with markets and art galleries, close to the steep and rugged Barron Falls waterfall.

While you’re here, make sure you scuba, snorkel or take a boat ride around the Great Barrier Reef, and hike the forests trails of the Daintree. These two attractions are Queensland icons you simply can’t miss.
