Outstanding accomodation in the sub-penthouse! The only thing stopping me giving 5 stars was the unpleasant smell in the room. I don’t think it’s anything sinister, just a shame. And after a while you don’t notice it. The room was amazing though.

The central location of this hotel is fantastic - it's so close to everything in the CBD. The parking situation is hard to navigate, particularly with current roadworks. The Royal Albert has vintage charm and is clean. Some attention to detail is needed, but it didn't distract from a great stay.

The Royal Albert Hotel is so convenient being right in the CBD. During our stay we went for many walks to see all the Christmas decorations & lights, everything was so close by. We enjoyed a perfect stay with the staff being very attentive & explained everything very well to us.

What I liked most about this hotel were the location and their staff. It took about 10 minutes walking to the trains but I don't mind the walking. The hotel was like right in the center of CBD surrounded by many shops, restaurants, etc. And their staff was so helpful and courtesy. Also, you would need your key room to access the hotel after hours so I felt pretty safe staying in this hotel

The curtains in the room were falling down in the centre and at one end. We asked reception to get them fixed but we were told as there were no staff to do that it would not happen until the next day. We asked for another room but were told they were at capacity. We asked for a reduction in the room price and were told to email management, which we did. We have received no reply to our email. There are also about 5 or 6 stairs within in approx a couple of metres of entering the room that lead down into the sleeping and living area. The toilet/bathroom is to the left at the top of these stairs. The stairs were not mentioned or shown in the photos of the delux room we booked. We consider the stairs a safety hazard and would have liked to have been informed about them.

The staff were very lovely. Location is fantastic Downside is the road works which is no fault of the hotel but it is 24/7 so take ear plugs. Wifi was a bit patchy.

We had read a lot of bad reviews before we arrived but our stay was excellent. Yes,the carpets might need renewing but our apartment had everything we needed. Great kitchen and appliances. Large lounge dining room. Plenty of space in the bedroom. Updated bathroom and a handy laundry. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again as in the heart of Brisbane and easy to get around

The Royal Albert Hotel is beautiful accommodation located in an 18th century heritage listed building that is over 100 years old. Our room was on the 8th floor, was clean, spacious and comfortable. The period fittings and decor complimented our room. Situated right in the heart of the Brisbane CBD you’re walking distance to the Queen Street Mall, Wintergarden, Brisbane Arcade and designer stores as well as a number of restaurants and cafes.

Excellent location right in the heart of town. Room was a bit dated, with some fittings showing their age in both style and wear. The room size was amazing with plenty of space to relax if necessary. Check in was easy and relatively clear, but no wifi details on the card folder other than 'ask reception' - would be better to include this information or offer it up at check in. Check out was good, with clear guidance on how to tackle the parking aspect; this worked as explained and was straight-forward. I would probably pick a more modern place next time as I felt this location was overpriced for the quality.
