False advertising. Offering premium wifi, ensuite and parking to find once paid for the private ensuite room you do not provide parking or premium wifi. There is no notification of how many parks or the requirements for prebooking yet it is advertised on and the website. The staff laughed when asked and was not helpful in finding a suitable arrangement. Extremely disappointing for the cost. The advertising clearly showed a different room layout with a much larger and modern room. Again, smart and sneaky advertising team. Nice to see sustainability a priority;however it impacted our comfort of sleep with the aircon shutting off and no option to adjust it. Nice reference to Australia’s first people with information on languages.

Hostel close to convention centre

Pros: The hostel was clean and functional. I meet people from different places, some who joined in a chat.
Cons: The hostel was one of the better places that I have stayed in/
Location: The activity I walked to was in the Convention Centre. This is the reason why I wanted to have walking access within 15/20 minutes.
The hostel I needed to stay in had to be close to the Convention Centre and within walking distance. The staff suggested it was a 15 minute walk but with a backpack and hip strain took longer. It was on top of a hill and after a full day at the seminar with lots of supporting and volunteer working, I found the hill challenging.

Central to the Railway Station.

Pros: Cleanliness and Central Position.
Cons: Location of Rooms according to the price paid for the room per night.
Nice, clean hotel. Main problem is that if you require a double room and are paying the maximum cost for a double room, then you are more than likely to get a room on the bottom level of the hotel with no or very little natural light from the windows whereas the shared bunk rooms at the cheapest rate have the higher level rooms with plenty of natural light. It was like sleeping in a dungeon.....

I found the keycards inconvenient, the 1st didn't work and had to take back, then 2nd didn't work had to take it back. If you forget anything you're stuffed as you have to go back up and down the lift and don't forget your card or you can't even go to the toilet. The second answering e-mail re. parking didn't get to me until I had left to on the journey there and consequently on arrival found lack of parking in area due to Suncorp event (you better check). The council forbids parking anywhere in the vicinity (like a whole suburb). The website doesn't mention parking at all. The e-mail answer about transfers didn't mention the price. On the upside the room was clean, there was plenty of crockery etc, the view of the city is great as well as having a pool.

Location: Close to everything
Facilities: Decent; Value: Low-priced; Service: Good, Friendly; Cleanliness: Fairly OK; Close to central transport, has a Coles nearby. Overall satisfactory stay.
