The reception staff were very nice, polite, friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the hotel itself was not good.

The staff were friendly and the room was clean but the property is dated. Facilities are older and it could do with a rejuvenation

Booked online on Wotif with the payment selection of “pay on check in”. Wanted to pay cash on arrival. On check in was informed that they had taken money out of my card the night before with the explanation of “this is just what we do”. Thought this to be rather out of line and rude. I wanted to pay on checkin with cash and no where was I contacted or it said I had to pay prior to arrival. Also difficult to get a park. Beds incredibly uncomfortable to the point of getting a sore back and not sleeping.

I have been in contact with Expedia as we had information for guests to advise them that payment will be taken prior to arrival and the terms and conditions of using cash, unfortunately Expedia had removed these conditions without notification. I do apologies for any confusion. To assist if using different web sites always just send a message through the platform to advise a different method of payment will be used on arrival to avoid any such issues occurring again as a lot of properties do take payment prior to arrival. Parking is advertised as limited as you have experienced in the current climate of Covid everyone is driving making parking on busy nights an issue. I am sorry you found the bed to soft and thankyou for your feedback. Once again thankyou for taking the time out of you day to let us know of our shortfalls as so we can address the issues as so the next guest has a more pleasant stay.

The restaurant not open Friday and Saturday nights. 10-20min walk to any food places

Good morning, Thank you for your feedback. Yes, our restaurant is not open on these 2 nights. We do not have much call for guests dining inhouse on these two nights as most guests seem to want to go out. There are many restaurants nearby and yes they are at least a 10-15 minute walk from our hotel. Sorry for any inconvenience. Kind regards Carmel
