Terrible check in process. Shockingly bad coming service, we had dirty plates and in room Dinning items at our front door for two days waiting collection. Security deposit is such a redundant process, and surely this should be stayed in the T&Cs when booking but no, it didn’t.

It was an OK stay. There are 9 floors and it was a fairly busy weekend. One of the lifts was not working and at times there were long delays with only one working lift.

I was very disappointed with the room which was advertised with a discount. The hotel was far from full but I was given a room (926) behind the lift with very poor soundproofing. Going to the Alfred Hospital the next morning, I got little sleep as everytime the lift was activated the noise reverberated through the wall . The room looked out onto a brick wall. I would have expected some thought given to people who book a one-bedroom room. Just because it's discounted, is no excuse for such a noisy and no-view room. They also reassured me that the reception was a 24-hour reception. When I arrived back after dinner at 9.45pm, there was no one on the desk. There were major stains on the carpet. I felt I was given one of the poorest rooms in the hotel. I would encourage anyone booking with this hotel to confirm which room they have booked and refuse any room ending in 26. I will never book at this hotel again. i
