I had a problem with the room safe and couldn’t get maintenance in. Before 9.00am but had to leave for the airport by 8.30am to fly back to Sydney. Luckily we are back in Melbourne 20 April to fly out to Bali 21 April so I can collect my valuables then!

From the moment we arrived the friendly helpful service did not waiver. Our room was clean, very comfortable, extremely quiet and the view of the Yarra was a bonus. We will definitely return as the buffet breakfast is my partner's new favorite of hotel buffets available!

Check in was a disaster. System was down which can't be helped but we were told to take a seat and they would cone and let us know when they could find our room. We waited 20 mins and no one even made an attempt to find us. We had to go back ask if they had found a room for us and then they just gave us the room key. By this time a bus of tourist arrived in which they didn't plan for and it caused chaos. One lift was out of order and they couldn't accommodate getting everyone to their rooms for the congestion. When ended up leaving our bag with the one concierge trying to deal with everything as we had to get to the rugby. We were also denied the buffet breakfast which was booked because their system was down and they didn't believe me when i said it came with the booking. I had to retrieve the email to prove we were entitled to it. I gave the staff some feedback regarding the poor service and they just shrugged it off. I had to demand they write down i had booked the buffet breakfast so i wouldn't be charged again. Very disappointed as we stay here often but will consider a change for next time

We really enjoyed our stay at Rendezvous Hotel. The room was clean, cozy and beautifully decorated. The hotel itself is stunning - ornate ceilings and fitting give it a very luxurious vibe. The buffet breakfast was delicious - and there was plenty of everything with no waiting for food to arrive. Highly recommended

A fabulous jewel .. the facilities are a world away in their heritage beauty. The food was magnificent and the staff were just wonderful- they were always happy and very accommodating. Thank you .. my week there was hard to leave.

Pay extra for the character and proximity to train station, Fed Square and South Bank. Although i am well traveled and been to Melb many times in past few years, i was inclined to be off the streets by 8.30pm and back to the motel where i felt safer in the hotels restaurant and bar!

Great service, quite clean and comfy room. There was a pungent smell in the cupboard and coffee area and the shower only has an open screen with no door so the showers were always uncomfortable to be aware of getting the entire bathroom wet. Some plugs and switches in the room were also not working. Otherwise perfect location right across trams and trains and so convenient to go anywhere.

Rendezvous a great place to stay

Lovely place to stay and close to tge arts precinct. Meaks are great and breakfast buffet has everything you need. Only complaint is the position of the toilet paper in relation to the toilet. It is low and out of reach.
