The check-in process was an absolute hassle. I received an email to check in, but it didn’t include the actual link. I then had to call to sort it out, at which point I was told that pets don’t stay free — despite the Wotif listing clearly stating that pets are welcome and stay free.
What followed was a 40-minute argument with the agent, Paul. While I was on hold, he hung up on me. I called back twice more trying to resolve the issue, but no one answered, so I was forced to leave a voicemail requesting a call back. I was later told there was a power outage where Paul was.
Eventually, the agent agreed to honour the Wotif listing and confirmed there would be no charge for our dog. However, the entire process of trying to check in — before even arriving at the hotel — took close to 90 minutes. Ninety minutes I’ll never get back.
To make matters worse, the Nolo Apartments team insisted I send screenshots (which I had saved) to prove what their booking partner displayed, then told me their own website had different information — as if that’s relevant. I shouldn’t be expected to cross-check multiple websites to ensure policies match what’s listed on Wotif.
I was also told a supervisor would call me back the day after our stay. That call never happened.
The room itself was fine, but oddly set up: the bed blocked access to one of the power points, and none of the lamps were plugged in.
Overall, far more effort and frustration than a hotel stay should ever require.
