Website pictures are nothing like the real thing, room was disgustingly filthy and the smell of filth, mustiness and mould was terrible. Lights & poweroints did not work. Fridge leaked. I would never stay here again or recommend this place. The receptionist was lovely.

The room was clean and acceptable , but the shower filled up above your ankles after being on for not even a minute that could be a danger to people that go in there. The beds were completely comfortable but the rain kept waking us up on the table next to the window kept dripping but overall great time thank you!

Beautiful, friendly and welcoming staff, the room was amazing, the beds were very comfy, the room was clean. There is a swimming pool at the property and the grounds are very clean.

Eh. It's was fine. What you would expect from a budget accommodation. But felt the price was high for the quality. I elected to pay on arrival but the company tried to debit my account before check in time regardless. They called me 2 hours before their check in time to request payment. I missed the call and was told on arrival (at about 2pm) that they had tried to debit my account and called me about same. The beds and pillows were dense. Not comfortable. I like a firm mattress but these had no give. The room was basic level clean. More tidy then clean. Dust build up on light switches and decorative wall panels. But clean sheets and main surfaces. The shower was a mix of rusty and mouldy edges. But the water pressure and heat was heaven. The pool was cloudy but like they were attempting to clean it after a long period of neglect. Which makes sense from other reviews I have read. If I came to the area again I would try different accommodation.

Sky Rider is a basic motel that is very clean and well maintained. Its location is not convenient if you prefer to be able to walk to local restaurants and attractions. This is particularly of concern as parking in Katoomba is at a premium and the steep streets make walking any distance challenging for anyone with mobility limitations. The motel advertised having a laundry facility but the only dryer was out of service while we were there. I've tried to add photos however Expedia puts some sort of size limit on them but doesn't specify what that is.
