Save your money and time, unless you like coming to a place where hundreds of snotty kids run wild and the bar is filled with chips and dinner all over the floor, tables full of drinks and bowls yet to be cleaned then this is the place for you. Total waste of money, bathroom wasn’t clean when we arrived to our room, dirty spoons for coffee. Would it have better enjoyed our time at home with our kids then come here. Won’t be staying ever again. Highly overrated!!!

The hotel is well overdue for a renovation and refresh, the rooms are very tired and you can see that they have not been well maintained. The staff are not friendly and check in was an interesting experience with the staff member swearing at me. Definitely not what I was expecting. My room was cold as the heating didn’t work properly. The room service menu is limited and didn’t receive all my order so received my order in two deliveries. Such a shame as this hotel used to be lovely, won’t be coming back.

The only complaint like so many other people have said is the lack of restaurants open early in the week in the hotel. There was only the Empire Grill which was hellishly expensive or the Sublime Lounge which had very few choices and very basic. Our group of six ended up driving one night to Katoomba and one night to Leura township to eat. There were a lot of people staying at the hotel so surely they could open at least one other restaurant mid week.

Reception staff unwelcoming, I spoke with several diffident members and all gave same vibe. Housekeeping knocked on our door at 9am to clean, we were still sleeping, I’ve never been anywhere they have woken you up so early to service the room. We asked for five minutes and left the room, returning at 2pm and still not serviced. When we asked for fresh towels and glasses room was then not serviced and bed not made. Lounge had lots of white stains all over it which turned us off sitting on it. Toilet randomly running water, and tiles popping off bathroom. We upgraded for a garden balcony, table and chairs were dirty, weeds everywhere, very unappealing. This resort has potential, although due for a renovation in the rooms and a thorough clean. Overall disappointing stay for our wedding anniversary.

One night stay was fine, main disappointment was dinner at Azzuro restaurant. The main restaurant was fully booked. Sadly, despite the food being quite good there seemed to be issues with the wait staff/servers and they forgot my meal and I had to eat after my family had finished- no apology. We were then shown the dessert menu but unfortunately no one came back to take our order. So we left. Really disappointing when you are paying so much.
