Apologies for missing the mark in so many area`s. Yes we do ask our guests to make up their own beds with our freshly laundered linen as this is typical for our style of accommodation.

Pros: Clean and friendly stuff pool table was a bonus
Cons: There is nothing five stars
Location: Location was extremely awesome takeaway food like a minute walk beach two minute walk there was wind suffering and board hire
Great experience happy to go back soon my wife loved the local people and friendly staff

Excellent hostel in lovely place

The hostel is very well appointed and spotlessly clean. The cooking facilities are very good and the living areas spacious and comfortable.

Only one step above a youth hostel

Pros: Male manager was very nice and friendly.
Cons: Did not realise this room was simply a basic bed, similar to a YHA youth hostel. Had to make our own beds. Not permitted to eat in room. No TV
Location: Location is good. Only short drive to town.

Thanks for taking the time to review your stay Marie.Please note that it is stated on the our Home page on Wotif that Wandarrah Lodge is a Hostel. Along with the 65 images of all of the 12 room types, we try to give guests an accurate impression of our style of accommodation.It would be foolish to attempt deception and this would set both the guest & ourselves on a course of conflict. Yes we do ask our guests to make up their own beds with our freshly laundered linen as well as requesting that food and drinks be consumed in the dining room in an effort to keep bedrooms in a reasonable condition for the next guest.Both of these requests are typical of hostel style accommodation.

Friendly place to stay

Pros: Friendly staff.
Location: Handy to beaches and everything Merimbula has to offer.
Staff were very friendly and rooms were very clean. This is basic accomodation in a great location. Great value for money!

Cheap and convenient.

Pros: It is affordable and very clean and convenient.
Cons: Bar fridge in each room would be good, but this will mean eating in rooms is possible.
Location: CBD is near enough to walk to, so no drink driving issues.
Staff is excellent, facilities were clean. Great for a stop over.

Fantastic hostel-like place to stay

Pros: internet
Location: I loved Bar Beach, on the other side of town. A beautiful setting, with a kiosk high on the hill and superb views over the blue/green ocean
If you're looking for comfortable and clean accommodation and are on a budget, Wandarrah Lodge can't be beaten. Good facilities, big kitchen etc. And you're only a stone's throw from the surf! Will be my first choice when returning to Merimbula.

Thanks for the great review Shane.Our location is what our guest comment on most.Throw in Crank`s Cafe for breakfast or a coffee and you can pretty much park the car up and walk to most places. Look froward to catching up next time your in town.

Pros: Relaxed atmosphere, seniors were as welcome as backpackers
Cons: Having to leave...
Location: Inspiring, short walk from the beack
Facilities: State of the art, A happy place to be; Value: Fantastic, excellent for shared dorm; Service: Go the extra mile, Excellent care - tidiness; Cleanliness: Spotless, almost like a motel; Shops right across the street, nice lounge area, easy location

Pros: Nick and Lauren are really nice. Great surf tips and great boards to rent
Cons: Wifi is weak inside rooms. Only work near the patio.
