The room was nice and clean. Would have prefered if the shower/bath was a bit bigger as it was quite uncomfortable and I’m not a big person. But other than this it was quite pleasant, the concierge was very helpful and wished me a happy birthday.

Great stay and great service. When I booked a room at the last minute, the staff at the concierge were so willing to accommodate our needs.

Hotel and staff were good, however the food and service needs some attention. Beer battered fish and chips were so full of fat that the oil oozed from it as you cut in to the batter making the salad and chips go slimey. Total waste of money and a desire not to order a replacement meal. Bacon for the breakfast buffet was barely cooked and the hot water urn was not kept full so opted for juices which were also empty. This was only at 7am in the morning, so it wasn't as if it was towards the end of breakfast.

Very nice place to stay. The room was excellent. Great view of the harbour, nicely laid out, very comfortable king size bed, very clean, plenty of space, The hotel staff were very professional and helpful including the concierge at the front door, the car parking valet, the reception desk staff and the restaurant staff, which puts on a great breakfast. Even the cleaning staff gave a friendly hello every time we walked by. I recommend this hotel and I’ll be staying there again next time I’m in Newcastle.
