Room 209 Toilet lid was loose. Positioning of toilet roll holders bad. Need to be a contortionist to access. Shower gel recess 1M from shower in opposite wall!! No yogurt with breakfast fruit. No foot stool in shower recess for elderly people. TV turned itself on at 3AM. Need cushions on lounge to rest head against while watching TV. Spout on bathroom sink so long it is impossible to wash your face. Nowhere to put soap after getting it out of the box except on bench top making it all wet and slippery. Only one suitcase stand. We travel with two small suitcases.

We arrived late and the staff were a wonderful help. The hotel is very modern and clean and located along the harbour with a great boardwalk to stretch the legs after a long drive. The kids enjoyed Cold Rock ice cream a 5 min max stroll from the hotel. We grabbed some Thai takeaway too but could easily have opted for something on the room service menu. The pool has a great slide for the kids and a small playground. A short drive up the road/20 minute walk and you’re at Newcastle Beach with the amazing ocean baths. There is a beautiful scenic walk along the coast with a kiosk right on the beach selling food and coffee. Wish we had more time to explore but we were only stopping over for the night. Super comfy bed and pillows.

The room was inline with my expectation. Everything was clean and neat. The Staff were wonderful and very responsive. Always had a smile on their face. The pool was great on hot day. The bonus that i didn't realise when book was the partnership Rydges has with the next door gym. That was so much better that using an average hotel gym and it was super convenient.
