What was currently unique was receiving confirmation f booking prior to arrival with booking made 5 weeks prior.. That all OK, but on arrival all sold out and my booking was canceled! With a 5yo in tow as well!!!

Room was filthy and certainly didn't demonstrate the "enhanced cleanliness measures" described - cigarette butt on floor of room - used ice-cream sticks and empty sugar sachets on couch - thick dust and grime - freeze box in minifridge not usable due to ice - many, many live and dead insects in cups and glasses, in toaster and under everything - personal lubricant and clothing from previous guests under bed Did not match the description for apartment advertised - much smaller than 25m2 (maybe 15m2) - did not have a full sized fridge/freezer - did not have own washer/dryer (public laundry only) - "free" wifi had very small limits before payment - Jesmond Executive Villas' own website states room had workstation and office chair which it did not Poor communication and resolution - 3 trips to reception and 2 emails sent. No reply to either of the emails. 1st visit to reception they promised a cleaner would come to thoroughly clean room and they would arrange a different room to match the description, but upon return to our room that day they had only made bed and left new towels (still cigarette butt on floor, icecream sticks, insects, dust, etc). 2nd visit to reception resulted in a cleaner to come while we were there, also offered a room change. 3rd visit to reception we were told unable to change rooms due to current bookings, may be able to the next night. Reception closed and no contact after this. After 7 nights we left and never intend to return.

I didn’t stay at the site originated they change my apartment blocks completely same company etc- no notice of this either - the new apartment was unclean light didn’t work dust in bathroom dishwasher full of dishes cockroaches etc extremely disappointed

What is advertised on Wotif is not what you get. The room was like a converted couch with a fold away bed that sits in the wall. I know Jesmond is not the nicest or safest place around Newcastle but with the permanent residents it’s like being in a crack house. Not safe at all. Do not recommend to anyone. Parking was terrible and very limited. The only up side to the stay was the bathroom and toilet had been updated but very easy to flood the bathroom.

We did not stay at Jeanine villas. There was damage and we were moved across the road to azure apartments! I agreed to this after being assured that we would still have a balcony and parking! When we arrived, we couldn’t get in after 10 try’s. When we reached our room there was no balcony, and only 2 windows opened about 3 inches. The bedroom was Luke a sauna. Then I received a text saying parking was $20 a day. This was not what we signed on for! The parking fee was waived! I would have to consider if I would book through world again! We visit Newcastle from the blue mountains 4-5 times a year, so finding a good place to stay that is convenient is very important! Our only special needs are parking and a balcony for air! Not happy with this stay at all!

The propertys toilet blocked after 2 quick uses. Along with surrounding properties toilets. Then were told they couldnt fix it until the next morning. I am 20 weeks pregnant. In a room with 2 other adults. Upom arrival the rooms werent even ready or cleaned so they had to move us to another room. The rooms were filthy. The fold out lound mattress was extremely dirty and stained. Very rough area. Police patrolling through the premises. Avoid staying here. They take your money before you stay for a reason!

The photos are deceiving. When we got to the property there was a worker off duty abusing the receptionist about her roster. Not very professional. There was no parking or well inadequate parking. We had a 2 bedroom apt. One bedroom smelt like dead mice and mould. The air conditioner was not working at all. The place was disgusting. And there was another guest with staying with a dog in the room next to where our room was. Would not stay hear again. Left the property after being there for 25 mins as we booked somewhere else immediately after arriving and seeing conditions.
