Hotel room was dirty bathroom had mould in it and had a strong smell of urine. We could hardly sleep with all the banging and the noise. When I complained was just told sorry and sent an email with a complaint and received no reply. We checked out early as the hotel was substandard and a health hazard especially having my young son with me.

Great Southern was located in a very convenient location and the staff were excellent. The room we had was small (which is what we paid for). Things to improve on- there was no soap provided, and the tea/coffee area needed a torch to see what you were doing. The exhaust fan was turned off and when we turned it on it blew all the fuses! Probably should have had a sign on it. The staff were very quick to correct the problem though.

Pillows were too thin and the air con controller didn't work so the AC was stuck on 21 cold.

Great place to stay, very clean and great staff. Lots of homelessness since I last visited Melbourne. As I was traveling alone I did feel unsafe at night venturing out around that end of the CBD

Mould in the shower along rooftop and also along the bathroom floor allneeds a really good clean. The grate is dirty and mouldy. Could hear room above me every time they moved, even through ear plugs Staff very friendly
