"Convient location walk to Civic theatre"
Found hotel easily with car park across the road as their car park full. As it was a Sat afternoon no meter. Queen suite good for two but a bit squeezy for three adults. Problem with the restaurant booking but it was soon sorted out. Best to speak to restaurant itself to confirm details.

" Great city stay close to everything."
We had a quick overnight stay but we had no problems with checking in late and the late check out the following morning was great. Being close to the shops and nightlife was a bonus.

    Accommodation In Newcastle

Newcastle is a world-class holiday destination and the capital of the Hunter Valley wine region, offering eight sandy beaches, plenty of bush and lots of history, culture, vintage shopping and unique dining experiences. So check out our great Newcastle accommodation deals.

    Things to Do

Take the three-hour coastal walk along Bathers Way, from the iconic lighthouse at Nobbys Beach to the surfing mecca of Merewether Beach (home of Surfest, Australia's biggest international surfing competition, held in February), and enjoy the sun, surf, sand and rock pools along the way. If you've run out of steam by the time you get to the end, you can catch a bus back to the CBD.

Culture and history buffs will enjoy the Newcastle East Heritage Walk, where you can visit the Lock Up, the Convict Lumber Yard, the Customs House and Fort Scratchley Historic Site. Afterwards, you can take a free guided tour of the Newcastle Art Gallery's huge collection of historic and contemporary masterpieces before browsing some of the smaller private galleries around Darby Street and The Junction. If you love to rummage around in alternative clothing stores and retro boutiques, you'll also find plenty of those along Darby Street, as well as numerous gourmet cafes.

For a great night out, make sure you watch one of the live music performances at Lizotte's, in the King's Theatre building. You'll enjoy dinner and a show by classic rockers, as well as local up and coming talent. Another great live music venue is the Queens Wharf Brewery, where you can have a few cold beverages, while listening to local musicians, of a Sunday afternoon.

    Getting Here

If you're itching to get here, check out these cheap flights to Newcastle. Once you're here, getting around is easy because the blue and white buses in the inner-city are free and, if you'd like to visit Sydney, it's only about a two hour train trip away.

So wot are you waiting for? Book your flights and one of our Newcastle hotels, so you can start enjoying this eclectic city as soon as possible!
