Definitely not a 4-star hotel. The room was good and clean and the location is great - close to Parliament and Buckingham Palace. No fridge in the room and no drawers. The hotel is old and The staff was not very experienced. My room lost heating the first night in winter. They did not know how to handle it and did not let me change the room. Gave me a portable heater, which was quite inconvenient. Room was not quiet and close to the restaurant had bad smell coming in sometimes. If it wasn’t for the heating issue would have been ok.

The room we reserved was not the room we got in no way, shape ,or form. Not even the Deluxe king room pictures were this small and ill configured Complained told i had an executive room and could not have the one pictured the one i thought i was reserving as they only had one. SO bait and switch. So if you look at all the picture of an executive room or a deluxe room you will not see the room we were given. Plus this was also done to our daughter and her family. She also didn't not get the room that was pictured. I showed the young lady the room i thought i was getting on there web site and other pictures of rooms Exceutive and deluxe. So if you can find a picture of the room i got or the ones given to my daughter love to see them on the web site.. Plus we were stuck way down in a corner of the hotel and my wife has a cane and was handicapped. Not sure why we were treated i such a shabby unfriendly way by the staff All the other hotels were very accommodating and helpful, but not this one Last hotel of out trip and made left a bad taste in our mouths from this experience.

Not the best 4-star hotel I've ever stayed at, but certainly not the worst. Clean, beautiful, quiet and comfortable, it mostly has everything you need. The single room is indeed a bit small, as others have noted, but still does the job. The shower is a bit small, and their handwash/ shower gel product, for some reason, smells a bit funny, but other than that, no real complaints. Tea, instant coffee and biscuits are provided in the room, which is a nice little perk. The elevator is still not working and the hotel layout is quite labyrinthine, but assuming you have no mobility issues, you will be fine. I do recommend asking a member of staff to take you to your room however, as they don't necessarily offer and it may be genuinely hard to find the first time.
