I checked and was assisted by a wonderful gentleman from Zimbabwe. He went over and above to assist me with luggage.ensured I was comfortable. The young Indian man were equally friendly and helpful. Property is in a convenient location for the 02 and has a lovely cafe and cool common areas. The rooms themselves are very basic and small and could do with a bit of love. We had some issues with our bathroom on arrival and instead of being moved into one of the many vacant rooms we had to sit and wait for maintenance, which felt a little unfair considering we were away on a birthday trip and had plans.

Eaten alive during the night, can only assume mattress had bed bugs. The room was SO hot, no air conditioning. The shower cubicle is VERY tight and the sink very small despite the bathroom being a great size. No tv remote to begin with, after receiving it TV signal did not work. No bin in the room. The cafe food and drink is absolutely fantastic!

Flat review of ARK -

The stuff was very helpful and friendly. However I didn’t know that if I needed anything, I needed to contact the reception. I came late and there was not a mug or spoon to have a cup of coffee. Also not even a small bottle of water. The same for breakfast, i couldn’t have a cup of coffee. I asked the reception and then they told me I needed to ask 😀. Apart from that great views and very clean flat.

Very expensive for what it is

Nice enough place, but a few things to note - the room is tiny. Yes, it’s London, but it’s very, very small (bathroom is particularly small) - shower isn’t great (very small; not much pressure) - bed is like sleeping in a hammock (it sags in the middle) - no air con - if you open the window, the DLR trains are very noisy Good points: - free (fast) wifi - the TV works - fridge / kitchenette in room (altho there’s no cutlery / plates to use) - check in was quick - it’s secure

was an overall nice stay minus the sauna and the steam room not working & tea bag’s and sugar provided in room but just no mugs to use them with not even disposable cups. would visit again but i’m no rush too
