Comfort, the room felt homely, coffee (pod) and tea making facilities with chocolate on arrival was a lovely touch. Attention to the environment i.e option to keep linen without changing daily. Clean room and appropriate temperature in the room. Privacy and it was quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful. Thanks for the umbrella at 0620 in the morning when I couldn't open the umbrella stand. Thanks to the receptionist who greeted me on arrival, wet and cold, and the women who answered my querry about using the vouchers for breakfast 'T

I can not fault the facilities of the hotel, the room was lovely. However I paid for a superior king and on entering the room I was greeted with twin beds that had to be pushed together. On enquiring if I had a superior king I was inform I was in a superior king room. But reading on the hotels website it stated that their superior king rooms don’t come with twin beds so I’m a little confused. But apart from that the stay at the hotel was lovely and the staff were very helpful when needed.

Possibly the worst 4star hotel on the Strand !!!!!

The room was so small, even though it had a super king size in it. The bathroom was so small, two people couldn't be in the room together. The tv didn't work, the pictures were pixilated throughout our stay. The window was broken. The view from the window was a wall!!! I seriously doubt I will be coming here again. Our first visit wasn't so good but after leaving comments we thought that things would have improved and we would have had a better stay but no. I will be posting similar comments on social media , so that others can avoid the place. I doubt that i will hear anything back from these comments as we are insignificant

I liked that Strand Palace situated in excellent location. Proximate to UG, bus, sights, restaurants, theatre, ATMs, etc. Walking distance to all the above. Did not like short supply of face clothes during our 5 day stay. Had to purchase these from pharmacy.

Very disappointing stay at the Strand Palace (22–24 August). I’ve stayed here five years in a row, but this time the experience was poor from start to finish. Check-in queues were extremely long, with only 2 of 5 desks staffed, and neither of my rooms were ready after the 3pm check-in time. Staff showed no empathy when I explained I had an elderly parent with me. The first night was disrupted by loud neighbours until at least 2am, and although security attended, no one followed up. Finally, the view from the room was a brick wall, which felt very careless given I’d booked two rooms. Overall, the service fell far short of previous visits, and I left feeling let down and exhausted.

The room and hotel facilities were clean and comfortable. Breakfast selection was more than we expected with an excellent choice of hot and cold foods. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous. Booked a superior single and it was a really nice room, had all facilities you would need, clean and comfortable. We requested two single rooms and they were near to each other on the first floor, to help with a friend that doesn’t like lift. So great consideration and service from front desk staff

We loved everything about Strand palace. The convenience of the location, the service and of course the wonderful breakfast spread each morning. One evening we had some cocktails in Haskell’s (I believe), the young lady serving us was a delight, I think her name was Soba, or Sona. Anyways, thank you for a fabulous experience!

The Strand Palace was well located and within easy walking distance of many of London’s attractions, a great perk for exploring the city. Charing Cross station is just a five-minute walk away, making it easy to arrive by train and avoid spending too much money on taxis. The hotel itself was clean and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities (breakfast is available for an additional £15 per person, which is worth it), and the staff were all great. There were a few drawbacks. The rooms were on the smaller side, though this was hardly an issue as we spent most of our time out and about. The lifts were extremely slow, with only three serving hundreds of rooms, and one was out of order for most of our stay. Our check-in experience was also frustrating: we were initially offered the wrong room, and the one we were eventually given was already occupied, which was exhausting after a long day. Despite these inconveniences, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found the Strand Palace to be an excellent base for a London visit.
