I wish I could rate this hotel higher. Particularly for the wonderful staff you have there, who were all so friendly and helpful. My room was fab - a very decent size for a single room and the bed was super comfy. Highly, highly recommend this hotel - it is also well located and in a safe area, with lots of amenities close by

I loved everything about the hotel EXCEPT for the restaurant. I ordered a pick up order and was VERY specific. The food arrived cold and wasn’t how I ordered it. I brought it back and they swapped out what wrong, instead of giving me fresh warm food. I was also surprised that there’s no fridge or microwave in the room. That could be because I took a small room, so I won’t hold that against them. It’s in a perfect location if you like to walk. Buckingham Palace is about 10 minutes away as is Trafalgar Square. It is also located in the heart of the theater district. It’s easy to reach from Heathrow. It takes about one hour on the train and then a six minute walk to the hotel. The surrounding pubs are awesome and have great food options. I’m planning on returning again in the Spring and staying at this hotel. 9/10!

The best thing about our stay at the Strand Palace Hotel was the location - it is in easy walking distance to the Thames, West End, Covent Garden… What would have increased our rating was if the accommodation better matched the price. Our room overall was clean and mostly comfortable but was very small - more like a single room than a double, with very limited space and few facilities and there was a persistent bad smell - like a blocked drain - in the bathroom which permeated the whole room whenever the bathroom door was opened. The food and service were okay but average, again not matched by the price.

Slamming doors = I’m tired.

Stayed for a long weekend. Have stayed before a few times but this time wasn’t up to standard. 1. Incredibly noisy room. Lots of slamming doors and outside building works early in the morning. 2. Lots of talking outside room by staff early hours waking us up. 3. Recyclable water bottle taken away on night 1 by cleaning staff and not replaced having to go to reception for a new one 4. No sugar replaced for tea/coffee 5. No complimentary chocolate bar as previous stays 6. Room quite small for price paid 7. Couldn’t get late check out as requested, not good enough as price expensive 8. Waiting staff - in particular one lady was very surly and non engaging when talking to her for order Stayed here a few times and other times a lot better and quieter. Too many slamming doors near the room. Would consider staying here again but not sure as high price and lots of noise so didn’t have the best and restful stay as hoped.

Room Too Small and Expensive

We arrived too early for our room to be ready but we were able to leave our luggage in a secure area instead. When we did check in and get our keys later on there was about a 5 minute wait in a queue. We had a standard double room which cost about £250 per night. It was small and the bed was pushed sideways against a wall so it was difficult getting up to use the bathroom during the night. The shower worked okay. The breakfast was nice but there was a big queue waiting to be seated and it is expensive at £17 each. The hotel is convenient for Theatre Land and Covent Garden.
