I wish I could rate this hotel higher. Particularly for the wonderful staff you have there, who were all so friendly and helpful. My room was fab - a very decent size for a single room and the bed was super comfy. Highly, highly recommend this hotel - it is also well located and in a safe area, with lots of amenities close by

All hotel staff were excellent, from receptionist to housekeepers, very polite and friendly, food was excellent and drinks reasonable priced. Reason for visit was group theatre weekend, hotel was in easy reach of theatre, and we all had adjacent rooms which was brilliant

Already planning to go back!

I was so comfortable here that I really hated leaving to return home. First, the staff is very kind, friendly and helpful. Second, the breakfast was great and had a good variety of choices to create a full breakfast and then some. It was clean and smelled nice. Third, the location was perfect: easy walking distance to trains, buses, taxis always there, the theatres, Covent Garden (fabulous), landmarks, restaurants and many stores including grocery express and some clothing stores. The only drawback was that there was not a socket to plug my hair dryer and flat iron in in the bathroom - even with the adapter. In the room there are charging ports, some international sockets and American appliance sockets. Haxell's the internal restaurant was awesome. Joe Allens - a theatre themed restaurant has an entrance into the hotel.

Hotel looked good very helpful staff but my room was not what i expected through it would be a bit more special. No bathrobe and no way to adjust the room temperature. Had to wait over 5minutes to finally get into a lift to go to the ground floor cant really use the stairs as i had bad knees.

I love the location and the quality of services at the hotel. Very professional staff coutreous and efficient and lots of staff available to attend to guests. The efforts to be eco friendly was much appreciated. I plan to return to.the Strand Palace when in London again.

Exceptional bad experience

With this grading I do feel sorry towards the great people working in this hotel. But I had to experience something I have never seen before. I’ve slept on military beds (in hotels) and I didn’t mind. But having my head 4 feet away from the doorless toilet and paying about 200£ for this disgusting experience goes beyond my imagination. I don’t mind the small room and the small bed. But I expect good hygiene for that price.
