Great central London hotel

i had fab stay at the Strand last weekend. Smart hotel. Room was comfortable with great walk in shower, staff super friendly. had lovely lunch at restaurant both days, Two minute walk from Covent Garden. Strongly recommend.

We loved everything about Strand palace. The convenience of the location, the service and of course the wonderful breakfast spread each morning. One evening we had some cocktails in Haskell’s (I believe), the young lady serving us was a delight, I think her name was Soba, or Sona. Anyways, thank you for a fabulous experience!

The Strand Palace was well located and within easy walking distance of many of London’s attractions, a great perk for exploring the city. Charing Cross station is just a five-minute walk away, making it easy to arrive by train and avoid spending too much money on taxis. The hotel itself was clean and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities (breakfast is available for an additional £15 per person, which is worth it), and the staff were all great. There were a few drawbacks. The rooms were on the smaller side, though this was hardly an issue as we spent most of our time out and about. The lifts were extremely slow, with only three serving hundreds of rooms, and one was out of order for most of our stay. Our check-in experience was also frustrating: we were initially offered the wrong room, and the one we were eventually given was already occupied, which was exhausting after a long day. Despite these inconveniences, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found the Strand Palace to be an excellent base for a London visit.

For the price I paid the room was very small the bathroom facilities were ok apart from the toilet which has been stuck in a corner & it's a job & half to sit on you to sit with your legs closed when using it.

Great location and nice hotel

A very comfortable hotel in an excellent location in the city of London. Walking distance to many attractions, restaurants, pubs and shopping. We purchased breakfast included in our stay and to our surprise, the breakfast had many food options. Pleasantly satisfied with our stay.

Simply fantastic hotel that has everything you need in and out. Clean room and full amenities, close to various transportation options and very good Spanish little restaurant right across the street. Lastly - huge shout out to Thelma at reception who was so attentive during our check in and made my mom’s day with such a sweet and personal birthday surprise! She was sooo happy!!

Our 2 nights at the strand palace was a very comfortable stay .. a couple of negatives which could of made the stay perfect are that 1-the room was quite small with very little space between the bed and the wall. 2-A variety of tea&coffee in the room but not 1 decaffeinated english tea bag ,also there wasn’t any in the restaurant only coffee. 3- 2 coffee machines seemed to literally run out of something both mornings ..the breakfast was piled on a small plate which quite frankly looked terrible .. The hotel was in a lovely position close to everything .. would stay there again despite the minor issues .

Grand hotel with maintenance issues.

The first night of our three night stay, we took a shower and the temperature regulator was not working properly. The temperature in the shower went from warm to cold to scalding hot over and over again. I reported it the next morning it was assured it would be fixed, however, that next evening, the same thing happened. Reported it the following morning, and yet again it was not fixed. It was a very dangerous situation, and they simply did not take care of it. Beautiful old hotel-food was just OK at the buffet. I would suggest going to breakfast elsewhere as there are many options nearby.

Fantastic experience. The staff was lovely and helpful. The room was clean, had everything I needed including a hair dryer and iron! The air con was wonderful during the warm days. Location was perfect, close to many shops and dining and tube stations. Will come again!
