Great facilities and hotel. Very helpful staff. Situation in easy walking distance to many of the must see sights or easy access to london tube network. Lift was a little busy at times, but no worse than other popular hotels and the obviously typical busy times. The staff warned me about this when checking in and generally it didnt cause me any issues.

Excellent location. Strand Palace staff excellent, courteous and helpful. They even provided first aid support when a member of our party sustained an injury off premises and hotel staff provided an ice pack to minimise swelling. Complimentary minibar contained quality products including wine, mineral water and both sweet and savoury snacks amongst standard coffee/tea. Clean. Would stay again.

The hotel is in a fantastic location and I couldn’t fault the room, cleanliness or staff. Maybe a little more signage to aid in the location of rooms would be good.

Great Stay in the Center of London
The Strand Palace Hotel is a beautiful and very large hotel. All the staff were wonderful and accommodating. The bed was very comfortable but i would have preferred a firmer pillow. That's personal preference and they probably would have found one for me if I'd asked. The shower has a raised floor so the ceiling in tha area is really low. I'm 5'7" and would have been uncomfortable if I were much taller than that. I found the windows in the room a little odd too. There are sheers on the windows but no dark drapes or heavier curtains and I could feel cool air coming in even though the windows themselves were locked tight. I get warm at night so it wasn't an issue for me. There was also some very loud construction going on in the early mornings (7:30am) outside said windows and that did bother me. I did order pizza from room service one evening but didn't actually dine in any of the hotel's restaurants or bars. The location of the hotel is perfect...walking distance to a lot of the sites and close to Tube stations and a hop-on/hop-off bus stop. Overall I recommend.

We Stayed for our anniversary,We had excellent service, we arrived 3 hours before check in and asked if we could leave our bags, whilst we had a wander about London. The receptionist, said I will just check to see if your room is ready, it was and we were able to check in straight away. We were also given a drinks voucher each as an anniversary gift, which was a nice touch. They also stored our bags on check out , so that we could go off to do some more exploring around London. The hotel was very clean, we had a superior room, yes they are compact but that doesn't worry us, as we are out and about most of the time. There are many attractions within walking distance or just a tube/bus ride away. All in all we would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Despite how busy the Strand and the area is in general, my room was very quiet. It's a great location, right in the heart of everything, especially if you are a theatre goer. I had a cozy single and it was tiny but perfectly fine for a solo traveller.
