The location was fantastic near the tower and bridge. The porters v. Helpful, and the food at the restaurant tasty. BUT the property and rooms very run down, the reception and check in staff not as helpful as the porters

Location is good and Tower views are great. Concierge helpful also. Make sure you check for bed bugs. We did have an issue with these in our bed and and were bitten. Staff moved us to another room immediately but no offer of a room credit or even a meal or drink voucher as a goodwill gesture for this. They are aware of overall problem as they did mention Rentokill had been.

Not really a Thistle, wjich I guess explains everything. Room was hot after maintenance turned off AC due to horrible noise, TV turned itself off frequently. Furnishings old and dirty. And never want staff to lie to me, but several did.
