The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is good for choice and the food was good but it is expensive for the quality. Unfortunately our room smelled very strongly of smoke when we arrived so that made our stay less comfortable. The shuttle bus to the airport costs extra and it takes 35 minutes because it makes a lot of stops. A taxi is 30 pounds so in all it works out a very expensive option and not incredibly convenient for the airport.

I enjoyed our stay. We were given a guest of the day award which was really fun. My only complaint would be the shower. The half wall in the outside of the shower leads to water all over the floor. A door to close off the shower while in use or a curtain would be more practical and comfortable.

We stayed one night on a travel-issue related layover. The hotel was clean and quiet and staff was fine. It would have been lovely to have powdered cocoa in the room for a late night treat after a challenging travel day - not a complaint but a wistful recommendation. We were traveling with two carry-ons and a large suitcase and would have appreciated a more convenient method of transfer from Heathrow to the airport. The subway is very nearby but the stairs make traveling with a large case difficult. I know travel snobs may scoff but as an artist having a month-long stay transporting my oil-painting supplies requires a larger, heavier bag. We used a cab to arrive and paid approx 30 pounds because the multi-hotel shuttle required an hour wait and a half-hour ride for what was described online as a 1.5 mile journey. So, for light travelers, this is very convenient and walkable. For us, we longed for a dedicated shuttle with door-to-door service such as we enjoyed in other locations.

Beyond expectation
When I booked this hotel, I was mainly looking for a quiet and clean room to catch up some sleep and to prepare for next day flight. The stay turns out to be much nicer than expected. First, the room is indeed quiet and clean. The windows have 3 layers of glasses. And the hotel is on the parking side of the airport. I did not see flight coming our way. We cannot hear any noise from outside. The staff are very nice and friendly. They hosted complementary drinks and massages on the night that we stayed, which was a nice surprise. They also have bars and a small outdoor garden (with table tennis, fools ball table ) to hang out. Those make the stay more than a sleepover for the next morning flight, but another fun evening before leaving London. The breakfast was also great. A lot of variety to choose from. I particularly like the latte and fresh vegetables. There is shuffle service to the airport, but not managed by the hotel. The shuffle bus seems going through multiple hotels every 30ish minutes. -- We took Uber instead to get to the terminal faster.

Hotel was good but some of the staff were quite rude. We were sold food and drink vouchers and were told they could be used at either the bar or restaurant but when we went to use them were told they couldn’t be used for drink at the bar only food. We queried this with reception where they were purchased only to be told staff would never have said they were for drinks and it was our mistake. This was despite all 3 of us checking in heard the same thing. We also had problems with extra charges coming through on our card after we left. It took a while to get it sorted out and get the refund. Definitely put me off staying here again.
