Amazing birthday stay for my wife and our kids, a lovely and affordable 5 star hotel, perfectly located, with lavish but modern trappings and a wonderful pool and steam room. Highly recommended.

The Dilly is a lovely hotel and we have stayed many times. The pool is lovely but very cold. The breakfast can be a little busy at times and one of the tea/coffee machines was broken that lead to massive que’s . We had a suite but our daughter found the bed to be uncomfortable and our previous suite did not have this issue. Our bed was too soft and both my wife and I struggled to sleep. At the time of our stay there was very loud roadworks taking place and some work next door and due to our rooms location found this to be what is classed as excessive noise. Please note as a defence it is half term and the hotel was very busy and on previous stays recently we had no noise issues and the suite was lovely and hence why we returned. Staff are lovely and polite and the hotel is in an amazing location and has great facilities and usually breakfast is easy and too a good standard.

Mattresses are old, pillows worn out. The fit out is generally 2nd rate and all rooms need a re-fit. Paint is stained from use, chipped plaster worn at corners etc. Signs of age. Nothing fatal, but old. Breakfast room is nice, on the second floor. Lobby is busy, busy all the time because the hotel could not possible be better located - steps away from Regent Street, Picadilly, Shaftsbury Avenue - shopping, theater, tourism, subways to take you literally anywhere at your fingertips. Lobby restaurant is a bit eurotrash and should be shut down and re-fitted as a sunny, general service place with windows to the street instead of dark middle eastern. I think its a tenant. Basement bar is to be avoided.

Hotel is FAR from a 5* with rude staff! The room was dingy, old, musty, pealing walls, it really felt like a 2-3* place! I genuinely looked for cockroaches, just in case.

The first room we stayed was very small, next to the exit door therefore we often heard the door closing. Next day we asked to change the room and the staff was very attentive and helpful.As we stayed for 1 week at the Dilly, so the next day we moved to another room, in front of the elevator, still noisy but much better than the other room ( bigger & less noisy), but this room doesn't have a fridge like the other, so we called reception and they make a staff to bring us a fridge. Overall the services was very good just the installament of the hotel need to renew

Location was really good, however for a 5 star hotel most of the things in the room was outdated looking. Amenities were great. The view sucked, windows were dusty and dirty. My neighbor complained for having music on so i think soundproofing isnt great in this hotel. Employees were friendly and nice but overall the outdated look and the situation with the neighbor affected my stay.
