The room’s bathroom was created from large panes of plate glass partitioning it off from the main room where the bed was. There were sheer white curtains to give the illusion of privacy. Not ideal, and definitely not what ide expect for almost $500 per night. The hallways were dark… I mean no lights except for the room numbers lit in the floor (!) in front of each door. Elevators were the same- super dark. Lobby was very weird as well, mostly empty. This is called a five star hotel in some places, but in my opinion it’s 3 stars at best. Does have a good location, lots of hot water…. But I’d never book here again.

Room 329 wasn’t the best I’ve had - stay at least once a year for several years but was woken at 2am by the bin men outside for what felt like forever. Also they’ve lost their door staff… probably needs to be reflected more in the price.

A/C is not working and there is 25 degrees of Celsius in the room during the night without any chance to ventilate. Staff is not responding to this. Also, staff is not communicating anything during a test for alarm.

The A/C in the first room they gave me smelled quite bad and was rather noisy. I was moved into a different room which was much better, which was great. However, the hotel seems to be past its prime and could do with a big makeover. Seems worn down and not really a 5* hotel.

Room 335 is apparently next door to the staff store room/ facilities room; from 06.30 to 11.00 door constantly banging at a rate of 40 times per hour. Management could resolve with a slow close mechanism or door stop - but obviously don't.
