TV didn’t work, shower door was broken and hanging on by a thread, room is design over function. I didn’t complain as I was too tired by the time I tried the TV, and only used the shower in the morning, plus I used express checkout. Finally, I paid extra for a room with a window, and it was only an opaque glass panel.

We expected the room to be small as it was in the City of London, but it wasn’t quite a capsule hotel. However the inconvenience of only one of us being able to move at a time in the room was more than made up for by the brilliant staff. Special mention must be made of the excellent Parveen - an exceptional member of the reception staff who made such a difference to our stay. The man is a treasure!

I had a good stay at the hotel in Shoreditch. The place was very clean and looked recently renovated, with modern, high-tech controls throughout the room. The mattress was decent, though not the best I’ve experienced in other hotels, and the bed frame being on wheels made it move even when locked, which meant I couldn’t use the backrest comfortably. Breakfast was the main downside — I expected at least fried eggs, but only a cold selection was available, including cold boiled eggs. Most options were sweet, which isn’t ideal for diabetics. Overall, still a good experience for the price paid.

Affordable stay at a reliably nice hotel chain in london. No major complaints other than the smell of the shower gel isn’t very pleasant and the self service checking-in process needed to be smoother (with less staff intervention)
