I had a pleasant stay overall—everything was clean, the host was responsive, and the amenities were as described. The location was great and the atmosphere of the place felt cozy and welcoming. However, two things to note: the room was quite small, which made it a bit tight for moving around, especially with luggage. More importantly, there is no elevator on the property, which made carrying heavy bags up to the upper floors very challenging and inconvenient. If someone is traveling light, this may not be an issue, but for anyone with large or heavy luggage, be prepared for a bit of a workout. Despite that, I enjoyed the stay and would consider returning if traveling alone and not in a group and with less baggage.

When I walked into the property with my 3 kids, I realized that the pics in the web site are not really a true description of the place. The guy in the front desk gave me a key and we had to walk 3 stories in a tiny stairs. When open the door the place was bare minimum. No AC, the window almost felt when I open it up, and flies flew in. A couple of birds almost got in. So we had to close the windows. The towels were old and rough. the beds were bad for any American standards. Pillows please. The WI-FI was not working and it was a disaster. I went downstairs to talk to the front desk about leaving early bc I had a 6 nights reservations and that was no way I could be there for that long. They did not try to accommodate me. SO I left. I paid fully 6 nights. And got the Hilton Metropole for the 6 nights. I would probably rate this hotel a 4 out of 10

Overnight stay for 2 days in London fantastic value hotel close to bus routes and Paddington station. Rooms small but scrupulously clean. Will use again

Plug sockets and lights didn't work, fan was ineffective, floor was filthy and sinking in one spot. Bathroom was very shabby. There was only one bedside table and lamp. TV placed very high to one side. Not good value for money. For the amount paid it looked and felt very cheap. I would have expected a much better room for that price.

Quiet, comfortable and great facilities

Really enjoyed my stay here, lovely modern room, good size and decent bathroom too. Room also had air con which was fantastic when it was 27 degrees in London. Only downside was there was nothing in the room to choose whether you had towels replaced. They replaced them after the first night so not very eco friendly, please provide the option to keep towels

Great Location

Location was spot on about a 2 minute walk to Paddington station. Quiet area, couldn’t fault it. There were 2 issues, 1 was the fact we were on the top floor (76 steps!) and the air conditioning unit was noisy when it was the heatwave. Needs a bit of a revamp annd tidy up but apart from that would recommend.

Property isn’t a good location and the staff are friendly enough. But everything seems kind of worn out and repaired with Band-Aids. There is no elevator and I walked up four flights of stairs with a heavy suitcase. The room had no air conditioning and as it was July and London, it was quite hot.

Great location, comfortable sleep and reasonably priced! Cheap and cheerful. The only thing we would recommend is an upgrade on the bathroom facilities, the shower is very basic which is fine but there is no shower caddy to put any shower amenities which was a bit frustrating.

No air con! I should’ve checked when booking. Fans provided but rooms extremely hot. Hotel is old and run down, in desperate need of doing up or just a deep clean. Showers riddled with mould. Sheets and towels stained and don’t smell clean. Location is great, only good thing.
