From the time of arrival there were numerous issues, standard of rooms we were given very poor for a 4 star hotel

We arrived and checked in to what appeared to be a very busy hotel. When we entered the room, the room was old and outdated and in definite need of some tlc. The bathroom floor had hair on it either from the cleaning team or previous occupants. The air cobditioning didn't work, the fridge wasn't working either and had a horrible smell in it. The general appearance of the room was extremely disappointing, and there was no hotel information. The room also had 2 telephones but no numbers for calling hotel reception, conceirge, house keeping etc. Over the 3 night stay, we asked on 3 occasions for the air conditioning to be looked at and fixed. On the final night, the room was 27 degrees and the whole family alept bery poorly. We had to ask for towels and washcloths as not enough were left for the 4 of us.

The rooms had been booked over six months in advance and when I went to check in we were told that they had one room available immediately, and we would have to wait a while whilst they found another room, that was just great when I have half my family four floors down, to top that the rooms are all quite old and tired bathrooms the same. that's without whinging about being double charged for a bar bill which I'm still trying to sort out. I really would expect more from a major chain. not happy

The hotel is in a great location, the staff were very helpful and breakfast very good. However the bathroom was appalling with mould around the bath, cracked tiles, a shower you had to climb into and when you did the flow was really poor. The bath didnt drain for 15 mins after the shower. They need to rebuild the bathroom and using an IBIS type pre fabricated unit would be a massive improvement

Comfortable hotel close to Paddington station for easy arrival from Heathrow. Breakfasts were great. Transport easily accessible from hotel to explore London.
