Great location but….

Fantastic location for a long weekend in London. Short distance from Tower Hill tube. Great options at breakfast although you do pay handsomely for it. Service was excellent but our biggest disappointment was having paid £250 per night, we were given a bedroom on the ground floor with no windows. Very claustrophobic despite the size of the room and Very warm despite the air-conditioning. The latter tended to switch off halfway through the night which meant for quite uncomfortable sleeps.

Great amenities in the room, delicious breakfast which is cooked to order and restaurant quality and very helpful staff. The Hotel was lovely and staff excellent, we had a family room but the sofa bed was too bouncy and creaky and the double bed was very hard so didn’t sleep very well. The breakfast was ok, the hot food we ordered off the main menu wasn’t particularly tasty and eggs cold, so we just stuck to the continental breakfast buffet which again could have been better. Overall stay was good, but wouldn’t rate the breakfast.
