The property must have poor insulation—we could hear and FEEL when other doors on our floor (11th), and the floor beneath us! There was no clock in our room. What was really bad was there was a dead fly suspended by the light right by the door into the room, and a dead spider on the floor of the bathroom.

4 days stay at Marriott La Jolla

Dear Marriott Management, I wanted to share feedback about our recent experience at your property. While the hotel itself was good and we liked the place and cleaning staff was extremely good (Danielle), our breakfast experience on both Friday and today (Monday) was unfortunately disappointing. One of the servers, Nelli, was not at all hospitable. Maybe she was busy but she set the really negative tone to our both days.Her service was very unwelcoming, and lacked the warmth or professionalism we expect at Marriott. We felt uncomfortable, and rather than starting the day on a peaceful note, we were left not feeling great. In contrast, Natalie (who served us over the weekend) was absolutely lovely — attentive, polite, and exactly what one expects from Marriott hospitality. The difference between the two was stark. She knew our order and knew how we wanted as she understood and didn’t say its not there without seeing, that we already had that order. Additionally, we were disappointed that room service was not available during our stay, which made things less convenient, especially while traveling with family. I should have checked for my parents. We chose Marriott expecting a standard of service that unfortunately wasn’t upheld consistently during our stay. I sincerely hope this feedback is taken seriously, as guest experience is defined not just by the property, but also by the attitude and efficiency of the staff. Thank you.

We don’t understand why when we stay at a hotel we have to pay for parking. It’s like going to someone’s house for dinner and they expect you to cook. We also had to ask for a room to be cleaned instead of them coming every morning.

Great staff, very welcoming. There was a pile of towels on the ground on the third floor in the hallway from 3pm to 7am the next day. Not sure if they ever got picked up.
