The area is not good. They charge $25 a day to park on property and you HAVE to valet. Doesn't make any sense, it becomes expensive and very slow at times. Huge line up every morning of people trying to get their car.

The hotel needs a better way of managing drunks at the Lobby bar. On Friday night at around 8:00 PM the lobby bar was okay. However, on Saturday night, at around 10:30 PM it seemed out of control with four Police vehicles within the hotel grounds and another six police vehicles at the entrance on Banyan Drive with pockets of people in groups at the entrance talking to police and on the hotel grounds. They appeared to be looking for someone. I noticed a man by the valet desk inebriated and staggering while walking under the covered drive area looking for someone that he wanted to fight with. His female partner was trying to stop him. no security or workers were present. Likely because of the shortage of employees. Many businesses on this island have the same issue with getting people to apply for entry level work, which cascades into shortages of manpower. The white paint on the exterior and interior of the Hotel and room walls seem like a hospital facility and an attempt to mask damages on the walls or the age of the hotel but does not do a good job at it. The age of the hotel is not an issue if they had a designer come in and pick a paint scheme and a design theme instead of just a few canvas photographs on the walls. Overall, the hotel was an okay place to stay and comfortable. The Workers were very professional and nice; they are what makes the hotel great. But the building needs a makeover. It does not reflect the quality of a Hilton Double Tree.

Property in need of a major overhaul as it is showing its age. Bathtub to high to get into, sink not stylish, needs paint, elevators old and noisy, asked for our room to be cleaned but didn’t happen, wanted coffee from our coffee machine but no cups to be found, found coffee downstairs but only lukewarm. All in all, not a good stay.

Nice hotel and amazing staff, pretty weathered property and the ocean front wasn’t as close to the ocean as expected especially for the price. Very comfortable beds and overall decent stay just not really sure it’s worth the price.

Always incomplete

I've been staying there for 3 years and the hotel is ina state of constant incomplete renovation. Pictures have been replace but mounting holes of prior ones are still present. There was mold in shower. Shower drain was heavily corroded (old?) yet tile and fixtures looked recent

We are locals born and raised on Oahu and will never come again. We waited an over an hour for an order of poke and a salad. Poke wasn’t fresh and came with rice(?) which was undercooked. With 2 drinks came out to $73. Room was extremely noisy with constant loud running water noise, ac controller didn’t work, sink faucet fell apart and housekeeping didn’t answer our call for extra pillows. On top of everything, some kid pulled the fire alarm and the whole hotel had to evacuate down the stairwell and wait outside - then walk all the way back up since the elevators weren’t working. Probably our worst stay anywhere, ever. Terrible value for the cost.
