Hard to find there were so many different outriggers there and not a huge sign of the name in the front. Expensive parking rates at $50 a night. Everything else was great the staff, pool, area was convenient and about a 3 minute walk to the beach.

I have stayed at this property many times over the years. It was my favorite place. Since they have rebranded it, “Outrigger Paradise” and remodeled, it has not been the best experience. The front desk person, who was still in training, gave us the worst possible room. On the second floor, directly across from the windows of an office, with no balcony. I didn’t even know this hotel HAD rooms with no balcony. We would’ve had to keep our curtains closed 24/7. Zero privacy. It was bad.. And nothing like what was promised in the photo when I booked the room 6 months ago. She insisted it was all there was available. It was low season, so I had my doubts about that.. We went back down to the lobby with all our stuff, ready to leave and find another hotel, and then she agreed to move us. (So there were actually other rooms available). Then she acted like she was doing us a favor by not charging us! Same category room on the 5th floor. It had a (small) balcony. Not the best, but I didn’t want to press our luck. The good parts: The new lobby is very nice and it smells wonderful. Also, the beds were super comfortable. The not so good parts: Staff, and our original room situation as mentioned above. Also, there were no laundry facilities, despite the fact that it says there are. (Maybe our crappy room on the 2nd floor would be a good place to put a laundromat!) I think I might be done with this place for a while. And that makes me sad.

For a quick getaway this property was very good. Below is my pro/con list: Pro - Staff was incredible: our flight was delayed and we didn’t get in till 12-1am. Staff was completely hospitable in getting our room and navigating us around the property. Even got a complimentary late check out. In addition we did not get our room cleaned but housekeeping was there every day to make sure we had enough towels, soaps and coffee. - Renovations: interior looks completely remodeled (excluding the popcorn ceiling) and the property does feel more fresh and bright - location: ABC store & Target around the corner and bus station is across the street. Everything Waikiki has to offer is not far at all Cons: - Bathroom: the bathroom itself felt incredibly cramped and the shower was small. There were plastic cups in the restroom that I wish were glass as our toothbrushes just kept leaning over and falling. In addition, shower pressure is very low. - Noise*: Honestly can’t ding for the noise coming outside of the property (ie. Motorbikes and sports cars) but the doors did feel a little thinner. Just walking to our room from the elevator you could hear conversations if they were loud enough or the TV. Overall: still a great property and I would consider staying here again!

A wonderful stay!!

This was my first trip to Honolulu and I could not ask for a better hotel and accommodation. The staff were so friendly and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcomed. The location is central to Waikīkī Beach, restaurants and shopping. The room was lovely and newly renovated. We went on a friends trip and had the best time as the places we wanted to go were near and there’s even a wonderful mall and Target right next door. Maholo to the staff for making this trip such a memorable and happy one!!

Great location, clean and tidy

Great service. Hotel recently renovated so is in good condition. Good location just a few blocks from the beach and close to shops etc. Nice pool area.

The Outrigger paradise hotel is a great spot in a great location, close to shops & beach. Would've liked more kitchen facilities though
