Yelling and screaming next door lept us awake all night for the 1st night, and the staff did not do anything about it even after 3 complaints. Elevators are always busy and full, wait times were around 10 minutes. Our rooom had a cracked window and sloppy paint job on bathroom door. A 3 star hotel at a 5 star price.

Location is great - the beach is right there! The city or someone needs to do something about homeless population in the area. Staff was really good. Big problem was that they are updating the facility. Of course, that is reasonable but... They did not have our room available. We had to be moved before we checked in. This was apparently due to electric issues in our original room. They moved us to a different room, which was better and they waived some fees. So, all good until... They were actively performing construction on rooms on both sides of us. It was noisy. Then one day we came back and encountered a highly toxic paint smell on the entire floor. We both immediately got headaches. I found the source was fresh paint in those rooms. Their doors were open and they were being aired out through the halls, and the smell got into the guest rooms. I complained and they provided some accommodations. They also brought in fans and shut those room doors, but they kept getting re-opened despite promises to the contrary. I felt really sorry for the maids on the floor who were also heavily affected by this. Overall, we enjoyed our time and had it not been for that pretty major mistake, I'd give them 5 stars.

The hotel had a great location, the staff was incredibly nice & helpful, & the rooms were clean- however, the rooms could use a little updating. Walls could use repainting, the bathtub felt like it wasn’t completely sealed on the bottom as it would move when I stepped on it while showering. Not a huge deal! We didn’t spend much time in the room anyway. But just something to keep in mind. Overall, good experience!

The property is old and it shows. The location is great but the hotel itself left alot to be desired. My room was stained- carpets and walls. It seemed like it was barely cleaned when I entered. I wiped down the surfaces and was left with dirty towels. They were under construction so there was plastic covering the hallways. It also left for delays at the elevator with limited options to go up and down the lower levels. I wouldn't stay here again now that I knoe the area and other properties that would would be worth the price tag over the this one.

The floor we stayed on is under a face lift, so it had an odor of fresh latex paint, but the workers were quiet and professional. There was drywall wall work going on with this refresh, but they kept the noise and the dust to a minimal. The odor of the paint was questionable until I realized what they were doing. The property is centrally located in Waikiki and right across from the beach. The staff was kind and friendly. The rooms are at the point of needing a remodel, carpet paint ext, but they seem to be on top of getting it done. The north end of the property looked to be under a major construction project as well, but other then seeing the scaffolding on that end of the atrium and the paint odor on our floor you would not know they are renovating. Typical maintenance of maintaining a large property and should not be a deal breaker. Valet parking was very convenient and recommended for the additional cost of $10/day. The pool is on the third floor and has a nice view of the beach, it is smaller but was sufficient for a cool off the day of our departure. They have beach towels and chairs that can be checked out at the pool for the beach. Over all I would not hesitate to stay here again.

First timer in Hawaii and the location of this hotel is very convenient. You are surrounded by restaurants, shops, bars and long stretch of the beach! I love that this hotel has a laundry room. And it was affordable. James the receptionist was accommodating and super friendly . They have their own parking structure but I don’t like how tiny it feels. Getting into and out would be a struggle when you have multiple cars coming in and out with little space to let each vehicle pass… I would definitely come back and explore more of the strip and not drive around.

V dated hotel, small n dirty gym with rusty equipment.
Sofa worn and dirty, due to old age
Old coffee table all scratched and come with splinter
Filthy area by the towel storage area in the gym
