Our room was clean but the floor we were on had cardboard taped to the floor like for construction but there was no construction. A lady that got iff the floor with us stated it had been this way for a long time and she hasnt see any construction.

For the money, this is a very good hotel in a very good location. It's about a 10 minute walk from the Convention Center across the Kalakaua bridge to the northwest and about a 20 minute walk from the shopping district to the southeast. At the time I was there, construction and repairs were ongoing, as close as the room across the hall from me. Noises were loud at times but overall the rancor was not unbearable. One downside of the hotel is that elevators can be a bit slow during busy times. Another weird experience I had is that I first entered the bathroom and turned on the sink, the water blasted out so hard, it ricocheted out of the sink and directly into my face. But the room was clean, bed was comfortable, staff was friendly, and basic amenities all worked fine. All in all, this is not a fancy hotel but it gets the job done for a good price.

Loved the balcony and the large room. Clean room and laundry facilities. Loved the water machine in the lobby and free coffee. Very convenient to the beach and shopping etc.
