The beachside location and ocean view from our room were spectacular. The housekeeping was excellent and the restaurant was great I'd give those elements 5 stars. However the rooms are a 3. The bathrooms are small with little shelf space and no magnifying mirror. The sink area has no door separating it from the rest of the hotel room. The shower/toilet room has a louvered door and no exhaust fan, which is inadequate for privacy and steam/odor removal, and it was tricky to adjust the water temperature in the shower. The only chairs in the room are two straight back chairs around a small table. Dresser drawer space and the closet for hanging clothes are good, as are the refrigerator and safe. Over all, however, the rooms and corridors need updating. And beware of the nearly $100/day in charges for valet parking ($50), Resort Fee ($40) and other taxes and fees.

Cockroaches in the room twice. Gave us a key to an already occupied room. Took 4 tries to give us a proper room. When mentioned about the cockroaches staff asked if it was us…. Outdate rooms, need better housekeeping, better customer service. They nickel and dim for everything.

The room was clean. The view of Diamond Head was beautiful from the balcony. The beach was right in front of restaurant and was very nice. It was quieter and more calm than some. The valet was very friendly and helpful.

This is a wonderful hotel, located right on the beach, with excellent facilities and friendly service. I love the easy and pleasant walk to the downtown area of Waikiki overlooking the beach.

Our check in was disappointing. We had been offered an upgrade prior to the trip, and we accepted it. I was disappointed that not only were we not upgraded, we were put in the far less desirable wing of the hotel, named the Park (it isn't in any way a park). Our family has been staying at this hotel for years, but we are not acknowledged in any way nor has our loyalty been rewarded in any way since the change in ownership.

The location was my favorite part of our stay. We were close to Waikiki but set away from the noise and traffic. The room was a bit disappointing because we had a big building as our view (sliver of beach on one side, sliver of Diamond Head on the other) and the building’s air conditioning unit drowned out the sound of the ocean. Staff was very nice. Our bed was made wrong (wrong size bottom sheet kept coming undone) All in all, the hotel had a great, relaxed vibe.

It's not a hotel, it's a smelly motel. Rooms are super small and nasty (the smell is really bad). No microwave, no coffee machine, nothing in the room. You don't even get a water refill. They promise a bottle of Champaign at the point of booking, but we never got it. The beach in front of the hotel is dirty, city beach. You might read that the hotel provides beach chairs, but those chairs are a joke (not real sun beds) + you have to carry them yourself from the reception. Noone is there to help you. The restaurant is nice, but the hotel prioritizes outside guests, so you have no chance of getting a reservation (we tried daily and had to go eat outside of the hotel)
