Hotel is in a fantastic spot just back from the beach. Unfortunately the restaurant was being refurbed and the provided breakfast was a bit lame. On the bright side though we got upgraded to a decent ocean view room.

Wonderful staff right from check-in to leaving the premises. We used the hotel taxi discount which was a better deal than Uber or Lyft. Staff were very friendly and always made a point to say hello or aloha when we encountered them. The rooms are not fancy, but they are clean. One block to the beach and everything that you would need in Waikiki.

Our view of the mountain and the ocean was perfect. It was great location to Waikīkī beach, all main shopping and many delicious places to eat. The staff was absolutely amazing, quick to respond and accommodating. We will seek this hotel to stay for future visits!

This hotel has been our vacation home away from home for 4 trips now. We don’t even look at other hotels! The staff make our stay so pleasant and easy—they bend over backwards to help and ensure everything is smooth. They are always smiling and sharing their aloha spirit. The rooms are very spacious and clean and the distance from the beach is very walkable—5 mins. Lots of shopping and eats within walking distance and there is a Domino’s in the lobby. The included breakfast was what initially led me to this hotel, and it does not disappoint—selection changes, but always has hot items, cereal, fruit and yogurt parfaits, oatmeal and toast/bagels. There is also a small area of miso, rice and Japanese toppings. Guest laundry is available and well-used. Pool is small, but who needs it with the beach right there… Honestly, the only improvement I would love is better water pressure in the shower, but I haven’t addressed this with them, so may be reasons. Cannot wait for our next vacation at the Hyatt Place Waikiki (and we haven’t even left yet!!!)

We went as a family of five and had a great time! The hotel was clean, spacious, loved how close it was to the beach, loved you could borrow chairs and towels, and the people were very friendly!

The staff were amazing and very friendly. The rooms were clean and they serviced our room every day of our stay. I do have a few issues with our experience upon arrival. We booked two rooms in January for our stay in October. Under the same card and during the same transaction, but our rooms were on two separate floors because they told us they could not accommodate. They also gave us two free Path water bottles upon arrival for each room. My issue with this is that we booked everything correctly. Two people in one room and three in the other. When we reminded them of this, they told us they could only accommodate two water bottles per room. So if you have more than one person/child- not everyone gets a water bottle. I think that’s horrible considering the price you pay and the information given upon booking. Please also note that there are destination fees that need to be paid upon arrival (fair)- $230 per room. They also only offer valet parking at $55 per day. There’s a parking garage nearby that’s $45 per day, so you might as well do the valet parking- this can be paid at the end of your trip.

No transparency, they need to disclose the destination fees $38/ day benefits??upfront. No breakfast varieties? Muslim don’t eat pork/ ham??? No alternative for them. Paying around $60 for valet parking and no other option is not good while you park at the zoo for $1.5/ day!!! You feel like they try to rip you off? They left bad taste in my mouth.

The room was a good size and the beds were comfortable. The buffet breakfast was nice each day and the pool was a good size for the kids to relax in at night. If you are in the main building expect a long wait for the elevators almost everytime you need it. We had family in the other tower and those elevators are way faster and have 3 instead of 2. My only other disappointment was the "beach view". It wasnt the balcony like its shown in the pictures. Instead it was a small window over the desk you cant open and our balcony view was the hotel across the street.
