The pool was not open, had to walk to a sister hotel. Even so, the oool is very small for the amount of people the hotel can hold. Of you’re not there early enough in the evening, valet parking so fill up and you’ll have to park at another sister hotel and pay that (more than what valet is at this hotel). Staff is great. Super friendly and helpful. The activities that were available at the hotel was nice.

I like that they had towels upon request and beach chairs. Also it was walking distance from the beach, shopping stores and restaurants. What was kind of a frustrating was that they only had two elevators and we were staying on the 9th and 20th floors so it was a bit of a workout if we take the stairs.

Pool renovations going on, drilling at 8am. I booked this 7 months before coming, and all the hotel did was advertise that work would be happening on their site, not warn guests with an existing booking. My son nearly drowned in the alternative pool they offer at Queen Kapilani, everyone just stood around drinking their beverage watching as I pulled him quickly from the pool because it is in an adult bar. I do not recommend Hyatt I had such a terrible time and sleep here, construction noises all through out the night, and I still do not have the deposit back nearly 2 weeks later which was confirmed with Leslie from Hyatt Place over the phone 13/05 11:42pm that I would get this back for the noise issues. Still nothing.
