Not old world charm, just old.
It’s quite clear when we arrived the advertised photos were 10years earlier. The owner seems to be slowly letting the place get worse and worse. It’s crossed the line though. 3/4 bedroom door handles don’t lock, flickering lights, filthy kitchen cupboards, house electric short circuited, furniture with holes, the windows and fly screen were so dusty you had to wash your hands every-time. There were no bathroom amenities and the CRAZY thing was no wifi!!!! People work from home after Covid or want to check emails or watch movies and relax in the evenings. The gardens bed are full of weeds. It was 13 degrees so we thought we’d crack a fire, the fire pit wasn’t maintained, just filthy. The artwork was exceptional, and you can see some old world charm but then we found a huntsman and daddy long legs just hanging out in the hallway. Suggest the owner do some research on what is expected at holiday home in 2023.

Spacious but Basic
A very spacious and perfectly located home however felt very dated and as if it had not been occupied in a while. There were very visible cobwebs everywhere - with a good clean and sprucing up this place could be amazing especially in such a perfect location

Charming characterful house in a great location for a family group
We were staying in Gerringong for the Anzac Day long weekend to attend a family wedding. Our group comprised my husband, myself and our two twenty something children . We also had our 91 year old nanna as part of our group. I chose this property because we could put nanna in her own room with en suite and our son and daughter happily shared the bunk room. The house has a lovely character and charm in spades. We loved the slow combustion fire and the location is a very easy walk to the Main Street with all its cafes and retail shops. We also enjoyed the various footy games on in the playing fields behind. Otherwise it was very quiet and peaceful. A very well appointed property, plenty of spare blankets and a great kitchen, with appealing quirky decor and art. We would love to come back again.

Gorgeous Gerringong - historic and homely property
This welcoming and historic farmhouse is a very relaxed and homelike place for an old-fashioned family stay. All amenities are close by and Gerringong is a friendly and laid-back community. Highly recommended for families.

Great house, fantastic location
Fairview is in an ideal location. It is a very short walk to shops and parks and you open the back gate and you have access to an oval, which is a great place to kick a ball or walk the dog. The house is very comfortable having all that you need. The slow combustion fire was a joy. Being able to bring our four legged friend was fantastic and the layout of the house and surrounds made it so easy.
