Great location, pleasant staff, and very clean and comfortable rooms. As other reviews mentioned, this hotel is in a very typical San Francisco building, which means they are old buildings and you hear everything happening next and on top of your room. But they provide ear plugs and that helps a bit. The rooms have been remodeled and are kept very clean, so for that reason alone I strongly recommend this hotel.

It is located in the center of Union Square San Francisco. Everything is within walking distance - including China Town. The staff was very helpful and the place is charming and historical. Another good thing is that it is only about 30 minutes away from SFO Airport. Just an important note and its not a bad thing but since it is a historical building it does not have A/C but I never felt any discomfort since the temperature is always cool in San Fran. I highly recommend it.

This place is the BEST DEAL! adorable hotel and the employees are amazing! Highly recommended plus it’s the best location for shopping! They serve coffee, cookies and have great drinks! It must be privately owned because the employees have pride in their work! They seem happy. The Bartender was super funny and served amazing drinks too!

The hotel was adequate for the needs of someone who just needed a place to sleep and shower during a San Francisco stay. It's an old hotel so the rooms are small and the bathrooms are smaller. There is no air conditioning but that was not an issue in February. The staff were very nice and friendly. The free coffee and cookies were a nice addition. I would stay here again.
