Severe indoor air quality issues

Great location near scenic Fisherman's Wharf. Service was fine. Buffet breakfast included was generous and convenient but not high quality. Biggest problem was air quality in the room was terrible. AC window unit freezing or off and airless hot. Noise from street and in hallway. Mold or dirt or something in the room made us all have runny noses, sneezing, headache, and bloodshot eyes, only relieved by leaving the room. Lobby was ugly and inhospitable. The whole place needs an update and renovations. Very run down. It didn't ruin our vacation and it was ok but really pretty uncomfortable. Wish I had stayed somewhere nicer and regret booking this hotel which was well reviewed online. Stay somewhere else.

I didn't like that breakfast area was small and that the staff in the breakfast where very rude and wanted to control everything. Ive been to many hotels and this was a first where they ask room number and they aske for everyone to be present at the same time.

The check-in receptionist, Sandra, was awesome! She was patient and very polite upon check-in. The room was really nice and spacious. I loved how easy it was to walk down to the Pier. The buffet breakfast was EXCEPTIONAL! Various and plentiful options to choose from. I think my daughter's favorite thing was the heated pool outside. She absolutely loved it. The next time we visit SF we will be staying here.

Hotel Riu at Fisherman's Wharf is wonderful! It is 2 blocks from the wharf and near everything. The breakfast is fabulous and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

I love the big breakfast buffet. The fireplace sitting areas was perfect after exploring the pier. Very close walking distance to see the shops, restaurants and attractions.

Beautiful, Friendly, Clean, but ...

This is a beautiful hotel, nicely located by Fishermans wharf. Although it was very crowded during our visit and we were overwhelmed by the breakfast line of maybe 50 people - it was handled amazing well, out wait was not too long and we never felt rushed. The room was very nice with on exception - the bath room was super small requiring that we squeeze between the toilet and the door in order to open or close it. Also the water pressure on the 4th floor was very low. We did enjoy the fire pits outside though and would stay again.
