The price is right for the budget minded hotel. 24 hour staff, Chinese owned and staffed. Building is old and charming; built in 1912. Perfect location for walking around Chinatown, North Beach, downtown.

I love everything except the bed matresses!
I love everything about this hotel except for one thing: “old concaved spring bed mattresses”. You see, we booked a deluxe room with 2 double beds as there were 3 of us. My daughter and I occupied a bed together. We did not get good sleep because we could not turn to the sides and we kept sliding in the center of bed. Additionally, we could feel the springs! Imagine that! This hotel could easily get a higher ranking if they can only invest in new mattresses. On another note: Kudos to night shift receptionist Kevin for going above and beyond!

This property is located in Chinatown right by the dragon gate. We were able to walk to where we needed to go. Parking is off site. Ask for a parking voucher to get a discount to park in the garage. There was 6 strands of long black hair that were in the shower so it obviously wasn’t cleaned. There was also a peanut on the floor and earring so the floor wasn’t vacuumed. This is a good option for travelers who do not plan to spend much time in their room.
