A nightmare!
Simply …It was a nightmare . It was my first time at a DaysInn. It was a last minute decision and there were no other hotels available so we had no choice but to book a 2 night stay at this location. We check in and left the room in the morning to go do some site seeing. I received a txt from an employee of the hotel “ordering” me to come and remove my “belongings “ since I have checked out !!! I txted back with my paid confirmation of two night booking and asked for an explanation and a call back… no response !! Confused and frustrated we had to leave our site seeing tour and rush back to the hotel to find out what was going on. When I got to the lobby I asked the receptionist and was told that I have checked out at 6 in the morning and they had removed our belongings and have opened up the safe and removed our passport !!! I was furious and asked to see the manager . The manager with raised voice answered “ I don’t care what you have as your proof of booking our system tells me you have checked out so you are out…. I could not believe it….I “have not” checked out I have booked for two night and showed them my booking which was through Hotels.com …. Who will check out and leave the passports behind …. At this point the manager who figured they have made a “big mistake “ just leaves and goes back to his office making us wait for another 20 minutes …. Then comes back and with no apologies tells me I have your belongings back to the room . We just left!!

The hotel and rooms are dated. Floors were sticky. Bath tub shower didn't drain which left you standing showering in a foot of water. Stayed here for 2 nights. First night they did not make up the room at all. We came back to our room from a busy day out to find it exactly as we left it. Thank god the hotel was not busy so they moved us into another room with a very old air conditioner that barely functioned. We will not return to this hotel ever.

Very clean and affordable accommodation in downtown Victoria. This place should consider teaming up with a bicycle rental company. That would make everything within reach for Victoria. This City is set up for cyclists 🚴

This hotel is older and has been partially renovated. The rooms are clean and in good condition, but are of an older style and could use additional updating. The hotel itself has more amenities than you would expect in newer hotels of the same price point: a pool, sauna, exercise room, a bar/restaurant, and a separate breakfast restaurant. The menu at the breakfast restaurant was small, but the food was good. The hotel was also pet friendly and there was an off leash dog park across the road. The neighborhood is mixed with a lot of old hotels, and new construction overall it is gentrifying, but still a little rough.

Average hotel room, clean, with all you expect. I appreciated the floor is not carpet. The music band at the bar of the hotel stopped playing around 10 PM and it was quiet afterwards. Note: Expedia sold me a room with an extra sofa bed, which was not available, so the staff gave us a room with two double beds instead.

i had room 111, the last room in the hotel for a night the room was poorly appointed with a chair and reading lamp at the far end of an otherwise half empty room no ceiling lights, but a few moths, & at least one tiny red spider i could almost touch the poorly repaired ceiling with my elbow i’ve had far better value for far less than $169 net
