Check-in was scheduled for 3:00 PM. After waiting in line, I reached the front desk at approximately 3:40 PM and was informed that the room was not yet ready. I was advised it would take about 20 minutes and that I would receive a call or text once the room became available. By 4:40 PM, having received no communication, we returned to the front desk, where staff advised that the room had in fact been ready shortly after 4:00 PM. This level of service does not meet my expectations of the Fairmont brand, particularly given that we were required to wait in the lobby for over an hour and forty minutes beyond the scheduled check-in time. This was not how I had planned to spend my New Year’s Eve.

It was a great stay and all the staff were very helpful and accommodating. Reception staff - Francoise, and our housekeeping staff, Josie, made our stay more enjoyable.
