Stayed here for business. Heaters didn’t work as disclosed, room was always below 22 degrees. The floor heater was great. Complementary water bottles weren’t replenished each day but they will replenish on request. Otherwise, clean and to a good standard. Though, my coworker slipped on the wet floor when a staff member was mopping the floor on the ground floor. The mopping job wasn’t the greatest as the floors were extremely wet. She was injured but could have suffered a worst injury. Especially since it’s tile and guests wouldn’t be aware existing the elevator where it happened.

Walking into the property, I was greeted by friendly staff who made me feel very welcomed. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable. I requested a late check-out as I was celebrating my birthday in the city, and it was lovely that they were able to accommodate. Thank you, EXchange Hotel!

The staff were next level wonderful. Every single one I encountered was very polite and welcoming. The room was fine, but the windows appear to be old and thus drafty and let in a LOT of road noise. The bed was comfy, the linens were really nice. The shower head is low flow, to conserve water, but in doing that it’s not great water pressure. The tv remote was glitchy and required extra attention to use. The hotel is an interesting experience and very tech-y. The location is perfect, especially if coming from the Hullo ferry. Lots of walkable locations and restaurants nearby. My only caution would be if you are noise sensitive to be aware to maybe bring ear plugs.

Loved the architecture of the lobby. The building used to be Vancouver Stock Exchange in early 1900, and was converted to a modern hotel. The lobby had the old era ceilings and charm.

City getaway

Beautiful historic property in great central location downtown, close to restaurants, shopping, cafes, train station, Gastown, a mile walk to Stanley Park. Loved our top floor suite with soak tub. VIP lounge on our floor with wine/coffee/snacks. Overly aggressive housekeepers who kept asking to clean our room. For our four night stay we had it serviced once which was plenty. Overly solicitous bell staff who press your elevator buttons and greet you coming and going - gets annoying but they’re friendly. Weird setup with street level lobby and then hotel desk checkin on level 2. Gym in basement via spiral stairs from level one lobby; must get a pass in exchange for your key on level 2. Beautiful Hydra restaurant is part of the hotel - upscale Greek. Love the hotel’s LEED status for sustainability and eco - conscience.

The hotel reminds me a lot of the upscale European hotels ! It is modern , stylish and elegant. The rooms are not huge but extremely functional/ you will find everything you need and more. The best thing about the hotel is the location , super convenient to everything you want to do in downtown Vancouver- from Restaurants to walks , shopping and shows. Highly recommend if you are looking for a perfect city getaway for a few days. Hotel staff is supper friendly and attentive- any requests are fulfilled in minutes …. Tip: No pool or hottub- so if you are looking for those - not this hotel
