From the time we arrived to when we left we felt very welcome and comfortable. The hotel is close to downtown, Chinatown and gastown so perfect place to use as a base when exploring Vancouver. I have no hesitation in recommending this excellent hotel

Loved the Hotel

Great hotel, close to Gastown, the waterfront, and eateries. Strong First Nation ties, and a lot of art etc was displayed in the foyer. Staff were fantastic!

THANK YOU FOR THE REVIEW

Great Hotel with very clean comfortable rooms and good staff. Indigenous art displayed beyond entry foyer was extensive and definitely worth a look. Good collection of books to learn a bit about indigenous people of the region. But the very best thing was the really great breakfasts by the new (in Early June 2018) caterer who is a native descendant I believe, and sources great ingredients a sure knows how to cook! PS Watch out for a really interesting 2nd hand bookstore on a corner 10 mins walk up the hill with a huge jumble of books crammed into a big store (but staff know where stuff is)! Thanks for a great but too short stay

Unique West Coast Stay Central Vancouver

Beautiful Aboriginal Art Boutique Hotel (only 18 rooms) with amazing service. Rick and Andrew were always available and made sure we had everything we needed. 2 minutes walk to Gastown, 10 minutes to the Skytrain made everything easily in reach. Plus being able to do a traditional Sweatlodge Ceremony was priceless (2 days notice required). Vancouver is a big city and has big city problems with its disadvantaged citizens but it is trying various innovative social initiatives to help change this rather than just gentrifying this inner city area. The area is socially extremely mixed but as 2 older women roaming the streets we at no time felt threatened or were even approached. Will definitely stay there again.

Nice QUIRKY Hotel.

A very QUIRKY Gallery Hotel with very friendly staff. Located in an area very close to Gastown and Canada Place but also close to Hastings St which is frequented by many homeless people. Overall the concept of this Gallery Hotel appealed to us but the location is not the best, however the friendly staff balance out the negative of the area. Would we stay again, YES!

Very tidy and subtle hotel. Beats expectations

Pros: Liked the room, liked the staff and liked the little guest lounge with a fire and TV. I left my passports in the room safe. No fuss, all sorted.
Cons: Maybe we were a bit hot on night one. Heating is centrally controlled. Bit of a pain.
Location: Lots of great eating and drinking. Big shopping centre right across the road.
Easygoing and very welcoming. Rooms was very pleasant and warm. Guest lounge good. Breakfast better than some reviews. Its more than you would eat at home, but no it is not a massive carbo fest buffet! Staff all very nice. This is a small and semi boutique property. Perfect for a small family. Location is pretty average, but there are lots of homeless all over east side Vancouver. Don't blame the hotel!! Lots of great eating within an easy walk, probably better eating at this end of town than up towards the park. Its great value for money and no it is not a dive. It is new, modern and comfortable. Go for it.
