The staff at front desk are courteous, we had a brief stay but that’s the point. Location is perfect from YVR, short shuttle ride , and then sleep. Clean , small room but comfy

Great location as it is located 5-7 min from the airport. Hotel offered free shuttle; however, it was extremely tardy (even with prior notification) and not operated as claimed every 15 minutes. Shuttle driver was grumpy and lack customer service skills. Front lobby staffs were unprofessional as they talked loudly among themselves, especially during early morning. Room was spacious, bedsheets were worn and carpet was dirty; housekeeping service must be requested prior to 10am for same day service.

They did not advertise that the shuttle service stops at midnight at the time of booking. Also, when I reached at 1am, there was no one at the counter for 15-20mins and I had to call police to ask for advice as the location was in somewhat dark region. The person did show up 15-20min later and said that he had gone to assist some guest. Overall, not the experience I was looking for.

The property was dirty. When I got my room- there was a terrible smell in it. I asked to change rooms and they told me I needed to wait for a few hours. Cleaners came and she gave me the room next door quickly. That room did not have much of a smell so I accepted it. the first night I was ichy all over my body. I got maybe 3 hours of sleep and woke up called Expedia right away and advised I wanted to either get a flight back home quickly because I was unhappy at the hotel. It was not possible to change my flight however I decided to change my hotel. I checked out earlier and the front desk told me they cannot refund me because I booked through Expedia and they were going to hold my damage deposit until the actually checkout date which is strange because I checked out after 1 night. I moved to a different hotel which had much better service and clean rooms! I had to pay a bit extra but it’s worth it. I will never book with best western plus again and I would never recommend it to anyone.

The elevators were banged up, hallway walls had dirt and chips, rooms were dirty, walls and mirrors had smudges.THERE IS A REASON THE HAVE A NO REFUND POLICY. I wanted to leave the day I got there but NO help from the hotel and NO help from hotels.com

I didn’t like that a staff member entered my room without permission (while I was in my underwear). When she asked if I had a shower curtain, I answered yes and blocked the door with my body but she still pushed through to check, which was really odd. I had just checked into the room for 30 minutes and didn’t expect to have someone come in. It felt violating
