800$ weekend: This is a “budget” option in a GREAT location, which is the highest appeal overall of the Burrard. Walking distance form everything. The building itself is very average, and certainly outdated/too old. Staff was helpful and professional, basics were there. And the 60 retro motel vibe is creative but not a huge plus, except for the patio which may appeal to your get people or groups that want to hang out outside of their room. For nearly 400$ a night, you expect more, but then are reminded that it’s Vancouver where most hotels are double the price of most other Canadian cities. Walking into the room, first thing you notice is that is definitely does not match the nicer pictures you saw booking it. You notice a small Room, weird smell, and see a portable AC, which does works but makes A LOT of noise. Ok, initial reaction was disappointment. However, the nice coffee machine p

The property is close to lots of restaurants. The space has been retrofitted but to be clear, you can only do so much with an interior terrace facing motel. It's generally clean, but you cannot build modern size, elegance or appeal into this design. The staff was professional and friendly.

Hotel is old and not what is suggested on Expedia.ca listing. There was blood on the curtains, and no actual drapes to close at night for privacy. Very low water pressure and lukewarm for a shower. Definitely not worth the price. Vacationers Beware!!

Very clean, retro hotel. Parking entered from a rear alley that was pretty sketchy. Very minimalist with only amenities a ping pong table and outdoor seating over the parking garage. Portable ac that vented through the wall worked well but was very noisy.

Not what I expected based on the excellent reviews. Expected better/more based on the price of the room. Comfortable bed, sheets looked and felt clean although the floor was a tad sticky. Very tiny lobby. Received an email from their robo assistant inviting me to contact them if I needed information or suggestions for things to do. I rarely leave a bad review, but this hotel is genuinely verging on awful. The rooms are filthy (I’ve stayed in £5-a-night hostels in Asia and India that are cleaner), bedding/towels all filthy, the bedroom floors so unclean that we kept shoes on at all times and daren’t put anything on the floor. There was also no hot water our entire stay, so had cold showers (laughingly known as a shower - it’s more of a sad tap over the bath). The hotel is noisy, run down, and very poorly maintained. They have awful speakers all over the hotel playing poor music all times of day (think it’s intended to be ‘cool’ but the cheap tinny speakers detract from any enjoyment anyone could possibly derive from this). The location is its saving grace. I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you’re paying any more than £50 a night as it’s simply not worth it, and even then you’re paying just for the location. We fortunately were only here for 2 nights and were out the hotel all day - we thought about asking to move rooms but gathered that they are probably all as appalling as each other. I work as a travel consultant and will certainly be advising against travel to this hotel as it’s nothing but a sad disappointment.

It can be noisy so request a room which is not facing onto Burrard street. The air condition units are also very noisy as well as large. Local streets have many homeless and vagrants; they are not threatening but openly use drugs. The staff at the hotel are helpful and the attached coffee shop is good for an early morning coffee and crossaint.
