Hotel is clean and comfortable. The breakfast spread was plentiful and delicious. This neighborhood is on the edge of upscale area. A few blocks walk is all that's needed for upscale restaurants. The choices were endless.

Great place to stay with friendly staff

Staff were very friendly. They did a lot to make us welcome. There was a mishap due to fire nearby, power was cut off, so it got hot in the room with no A/C, but that was outside of their control. They did what they could to help during the process. Room was pretty good, but shower is poor design. Water leaks through a gap onto the floor.

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Belmont. Our room was clean, quiet with an excellent blackout curtain. The decor was cool and the bathroom with walk in shower was great. Never heard a thing from other rooms, the hallway or outside. The staff were also great, very friendly and ready to help. One downside was there was only one elevator and it's not very large or quick. We were on the second floor and ended up using the stairs, which were nice and clean. The hotel location is a bit mixed. On one side you're on Granville, which sadly has seen better days. One the other, you're quite close to trendy Yaletown. We walked to a concert at Rogers Arena quite comfortably too.

Good first time

This was the first time stay at this hotel. My spouse and I were situated on the third floor, in a room with two queens. The staff was amazingly helpful and friendly. The location is right in the heart of downtown; very close to the venues that we were attending, close to restaurants and shops. There can be a rough element to the neighborhood, but that's expected when you're downtown. The hotel was clean and comfortable; the room was comfortably small; a mini fridge, night stand between the two queen beds, two windows (sizeable one in the main room, small one in the three piece bath), shower offered both rain head and handheld that provided more pressure, water was plenty hot, AC worked very well. Blackout curtain worked like a champ, Nespresso coffee machine was fantastic (never used one of those before). A few different teas were also offered in the room with an electric tea kettle. There was an open, door-less, closet (iron and board available in a tucked in pocket), luggage wrack available. Walls are a tad thin, but nothing too concerning. Elevator is on the smaller side and not terribly speedy, but the stairs are easy enough to navigate. The hotel offered free electric bike use, which was awesome, though we did not take advantage of it. Parking was in a subsection of an uncovered parking lot, $36 a night, and well worth it. The lotion, soaps and hair products are Skoah brand, having a pleasant minty smell. Recommend it!

Staff were absolutely amazing, hotel smells so fresh and clean. Small fire incident happened near the hotel and the staff handled the situation with grace and never hesitated to explain the situation. At one point the power had to be turned off to the whole building due to the fire outside. The staff was calm, efficient and even brought around flashlights to ensure all of the guests felt as comfortable as possible even with the situation at hand. :)

Absolutely loved my stay! This hotel was the perfect spot for exploring downtown Vancouver. The room was clean, cute, and fun. The bed was very comfortable. I really loved the high-quality toiletries (soap, shampoo, lotion, etc.). The breakfast was delicious and fresh and it was nice that it was also open until 10 am incase you wanted a later start to the day. What really stood out about this hotel was the staff. Every person we interacted with was exceptionally kind and went above and beyond to be helpful. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

My feelings about the Belmont Hotel are mixed. We stayed here at the end of an Alaskan cruise whose final port was Vancouver. Pros - friendly staff, free canned drink per guest, had 2 bikes they loaned out (did not use), and the location downtown is great. Cons - small rooms, each room is configured differently and ours did not leave a lot of space to open a suit case, their restaurants (Living Room and The Basement) were closed (possibly for renovations), and the surrounding neighborhood had a lot of homeless and questionable people.

Hotel had some unique designs. Refrigerator look like an amplifier. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean and the beds very comfortable. The downtown location was good ,except for a few blocks in One Direction was a little questionable. Close to Gastown and the harbor.

Staff was very nice. Disappointed that bar wasn't open during our stay. Did not care for coffee machine in room.

Very convenient location. Typical big city downtown crowd. Some homeless on the streets but nothing made me worry.
