I really enjoyed my stay at the Pan Pacific. The hotel is conveniently located in Canada Place, only a short walk from various cafés, shops and restaurants. The service that I received at the hotel was excellent, both when I checked in at the Reception and when I had dinner at the hotel restaurant. The staff were always friendly and willing to help. My room was clean and spacious, with a fantastic view on the harbour and mountains of Vancouver.

It was amazing. I loved the view. I was able to check in early which was a concern of mine. The hospitality including the water in the room was great. I would definitely recommend this again.

The service was excellent in all regards! The only complaint was that there were only 2 elevators working so the wait was long (we even walked the 10 floors down one time). But there was a note in our room that this was maintenance on the elevators so I guess that was better than breaking down!

We accidentally dropped a glass cup in the bathroom. A dangerous situation for sure. Sally, the supervisor, was super friendly and helpful to fully and safely clean up the glass, especially since our 8-year old daughter was with us. Sally was amazing and the reason why I will stay again at Pan Pacific.

We were able to check in early and enjoy the Pacific Club lounge and the pool before heading out for the evening. Staff were courteous and welcoming. Upper floor harbour view room was great. Will be back!

Waiting and waiting

The Pan Pacific was nicely located. Especially nice if you are staying extra night from a cruise. However, 2 of the four elevators were down and have been for a number of months making the wait and overcrowding inside elevators very inconvenient and bothersome. This property has a high price point so, it is unacceptable to have to wait 15-20 minutes to use an elevator. In addition, an escape was also out for a short time creating a longer wait still for elevator usage.

I never write reviews however this might have been one of the worst hotel stays in a while and I travel a lot. The carpets were wet in our first room, the replacement room had mold in the window openings, toilet wouldnt flush 4 times, windows were dirty and no water in the room. The Elevators.. you might as well just know you are going to wait 10-15 minutes for one and if you do finally get in, there is a risk that they will turn off and go down to the lobby to start over again (this happened 2 times). The Gym is outdated, the hotel is outdated, a real update is needed.

Staff were lovely and friendly. Location is excellent and walking distance to main attractions downtown. The room was nice and clean, but the view from our window of the balcony (not an accessible balcony) was slightly spoiled by some garbage that was on it (a fork, an item of clothing - maybe a sock?)
