This hotel exceeded all of our expectations. The room was spotless, the restaurant was delicious and above all the staff were very warm, welcoming and genuinely seemed to enjoy working here. This definitely translated to the feel of the hotel. Restaurant staff was incredible, remembered my coffee order and even a couple of times had our breakfast prepared and ready at our table for when we arrived which was so helpful when I was solo with kids. We stayed for two weeks with two little kids so I had plenty of time to get a feel for this hotel. We travel to Vancouver often and I have to say the location doesn't get any better, we will absolutely be staying here and only here for all of our subsequent trips. Because I truly believe the staff wants you to have the best stay possible, I will mention a few details I felt were overlooked...the welcome water glasses always had lipstick stains and were consistently wet around the rims from sitting upside down on the tray in the runoff from dishwashing. I used a stroller with my two kids during our stay and the wheelchair accessible button didn't work for opening the front door during our stay. Turn down service was inconsistent, which isn't something we would normally request, but our 4 year old got a real big kick out of coming back to our room and there being chocolate on her pillow. Housekeeping ran out of chocolate on day 4 or 5 and so that was a disappointment for her, it was also hit or miss whether we recieved the service.

After check in, I was asked to wait another 10-15 minutes as the room had not yet been inspected. That was at 4PM which is check in time. There was a large noticeable stain in the rug in the living room area, wallpaper peeling back from the wall and the plug on the bathroom did not work (yes I tried reset but that didn’t work). The bathroom fan sounded industrial as is was very loud as if it was straining. All in all, it is a nice hotel for one night but I would say a 3 star and overpriced.

The room was exceptionally quiet. I never heard another guest on our floor. The staff was attentive, if we used all the coffee one day, the next day we had a larger supply. They recognized the need and took care of it. The room was freshened up without any prompting. We felt pampered. The parking garage has an elevator right to the hotel lobby. The food was delicious, portions were generous and the price was reasonable. We ate five of our six meals at the hotel restaurant. This was truly the perfect place for getaway from our hectic routine! Nestled in the heart of Vancouver is this perfect oasis! A real treat!
