"Great location for Downtown Vancouver."
Staff were very helpful and checked us in although we arrived early in the morning. The room was clean and well furnished and included cooking facilities. We found the location excellent for exploring downtown Vancouver on foot. Original Joes restaurant & bar located adjacent the Lobby served reasonably priced meals in a relaxed atmosphere. The only dissapointment was the WiFi as we relied heavily on it for the first few days. Having said that, the hotel had work done just before we checked out which seemed to improve connectivity somewhat.

"Very tidy and subtle hotel. Beats expectations"
Easygoing and very welcoming. Rooms was very pleasant and warm. Guest lounge good. Breakfast better than some reviews. Its more than you would eat at home, but no it is not a massive carbo fest buffet! Staff all very nice. This is a small and semi boutique property. Perfect for a small family. Location is pretty average, but there are lots of homeless all over east side Vancouver. Don't blame the hotel!! Lots of great eating within an easy walk, probably better eating at this end of town than up towards the park. Its great value for money and no it is not a dive. It is new, modern and comfortable. Go for it.

    Accommodation In Vancouver

Located on the west coast of British Columbia, Canada, Vancouver is home to an international community with flavours, sights and celebrations from around the globe. Whether you’re drawn to urban beaches, quiet art galleries or the disco ball-like sparkle of Science World, Vancouver holidays offer the perfect mix of low-key and high culture. Pack your parka so you can explore local parks on rainy afternoons, dust off your opera glasses for a concert at the Orpheum Theatre and polish your dancing shoes to hit the club scene—or you could bust a move outside the science centre for a similar effect.

As you plan for a Pacific Coast adventure, you’ll be happy to hear that finding hotels in Vancouver is easy peasy, especially near the downtown waterfront. For convenient accommodation near Vancouver Airport, book your stay in the Marpole neighbourhood or in Richmond, a suburb directly south of the airport.

    Things to Do in Vancouver

Vancouver may be one of the most populated cities in the world, but there’s plenty of green space to explore, from the quiet VanDusen Botanical Garden and Stanley Park to the high-flying Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge that offers a tree-top view from 50 metres above the canyon floor. Swap the flora for fauna at Vancouver Aquarium, where you can journey to otter space—sorry, it was too easy—and make a few finned and floating friends. Not really outdoorsy? Indulge your inner shopaholic with designer finds on Robson Street or get some dim sum in local haunts in Chinatown. Just follow the scent of dumplings. To enjoy some seaside living without straying far from big-city Vancouver accommodation and amenities, lay your towel on the sand at Sunset Beach in the West End or take a ferry to Granville Island for some gallery hopping, and oh yeah, pirate reenactments. Arr, matey!

    Getting To & Around Vancouver

Touch down at Vancouver International Airport (YVR), about 13 km south of downtown Vancouver hotels and attractions. Getting around Vancouver is very easy, which is perfect for your easygoing holiday self. Public transportation is affordable and efficient with buses and rail services weaving through the metro area. The city is divided into transit zones and many of the most popular sights are located in Zone 1. Just sit yourself down on a cross-town light rail train, or hire a car or bike to navigate the seaside streets on your own.

    Best Time to Visit Vancouver

Vancouver gets some rain, it’s true, but that’s what makes the city so pretty. During spring (March–May), Vancouver comes alive with fresh blooms and anticipation for the International Dance Festival and EAT! Vancouver, a festival with the sole purpose of stuffing your face with delicious food. Come autumn (September–November), the summer crowds go home and the local celebrations are in full swing, like Bard on the Beach, International Fringe Festival and Vancouver Writers Fest, among others. Which one will you attend?
